So, we decided to catch a few bull reds, clean them and hold on to the carcasses. Next morning when they passed a couple of them found red fish carcasses flying through the air and landing on their decks.

So you tossed a bull red on the deck of a bass boat going 65+ mph?

Seems that would kill a man or at least bust his shite up versus gently landing on his deck. Hmmmm, ok.......

not too many confrontations from my neck of the woods, mostley from me and my friends riding our ATV's on someone elses land (not during hunting season), but one time two older gentlemen stopped me a few other guys and started chewing out asses out about being on their land.

we were actually on my families land and they were cutting firewood off of our land. I told my old man about what happened and he went and got in his truck and went to their house.

We now have premission to ride and hunt on their land until the end of time. I asked the old man one time what happened and all he said was its hard to argue with a 12 gauge.

One time on Elmer's Island, a stabbing occurred at the campsite next to us. Some chick came running over all panicked. Her boyfriend had stabbed her uncle (no idea why) and was threatening everybody. Well, my mom and uncle get in the truck with the chick as the guy is storming over. We slammed the tailgate closed, but the fishing net was in it. The top of the hoop on the net was hanging out as they sped off with retard chasing them on foot. He was able to grab the net (great idea, right?) and eats arse.

Dude then proceeds to get in his car and chase them down the beach. They pulled off behind some camper, cut the lights, and let him pass. At this point, he comes back tearing through our campsite in his car while my brother, dad, and I bring the dog out into the surf (this is the middle of the night, mind you, we should have been gigging). He realizes that they're not there and heads back toward the entrance.

By this point, they had reached the office. They bang on the door, get let in, and lock behind them. With cops on the phone, he shows up at the door with the knife threatening everybody, who are all posted up with blunt instruments.

Needless to say, he spent some time in the Jefferson Parish detention facility.

Some wildebeest of a woman was helping her husband load ice chests, unstrap their boat and doing other general items of buffoonery while parked in the launch line at Freds.

Im pretty fast at self launching, so I whipped around them and launched. I sat tied to the dock waiting on a friend. They finally launched and she had the nerve to tell me that I cut her off.

I didnt respond so she started yelling. I finally told her, 'Get your shite straight before jamming the line'. Friend walked up about that time and just started laughing.

Freds once had a camera at the launch connected to a TV inside the bar. Now that was freaking fun!

Dale J. Silbergnagel, 45, of Venice, La., was accused of shooting at Gary Klein on Aug. 3.

Klein told authorities on the final afternoon of the three-day tourney that a shirtless man fired what looked like a shotgun at his boat as he passed about 60 or 70 yards from a dock near the Camp Canal in Venice.

Silbergnagel was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and illegal discharge of a firearm, said Maj. John Marie, a spokesman for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office.

Silbergnagel was arrested at a downtown motel. Silbergnagel was taking classes to get a captain's license, Marie said.

"It's an isolated incident," Klein, 45, of Weatherford, Texas, told reporters on the day of the shooting. "It's the first time in my career that I've ever had that happen, and I have never heard of anyone else ever having that happen."

Plaquemines officials have speculated that Silbergnagel shot over Klein's boat after the pro angler opened up the engine on his boat and sped off down the canal.

Many camp owners get upset at boaters who go too fast and create wakes.

"I'm sure he will claim it was a warning shot," said Sheriff I.F. "Jiff" Hingle about Silbergnagel. "We don't want people to take the law into their hands. We wouldn't expect a citizen in a subdivision to shoot at someone speeding down their street."

He said that if people are upset at boats speeding they need to report the boats to authorities. Officials said the stretch of canal where the alleged shooting occurred was not a no-wake zone.

that may be so...still can't take the law into your own hands buddy.

That is the right way to do it. Stop being part of the problem.

have had the privilege of knowing someone who is truly off his rocker. I was young 13-14, we were hunting a spot known as the hell hole on the north shore. Any way we pull up to find 2 guys in his blind. He nicely tells them this is his blind and to please find another place to hunt. They give the ole GFO upon which he responds "Well boys unfortunately for yal I am not one of those guys who gives you three chances." He then proceeds to cut the top off a empty beer can and siphon gas into it, with these two guys looking on with puzzled as shite looks on there faces. Fills it, turns to them and says last chance only to say to late after two seconds and tossing gas into the blind followed by some burning wrapped tp. Needless to say once they hulled arse out of the burning blind they weren't sure to keep hauling arse or pull guns. Ended up saying frick it and hauling arse. This same fine gentleman was cut off in traffic on 190. He proceeds to follow, stepping out at the next light we caught in front of the wally world. Steps out with ax in hand, walks to the hood of there car and sinks it. The three guys who weren't much older than me at the time were shitting bricks. Got back in the truck and drove around them leaving them with a souvenir in there hood.

I'm not talking about shooting someone, and I had no idea it wasn't a no wake zone. I don't give two shits about pro bass fishing, so what I know of the story is minimal. However, I have seen many rednecks on the water with their 300 on the back of a 22 foot bass boat acting like the bayou is their own personal race track. On top of causing wakes, that shite is extremely dangerous. You have no business doing the speeds they're doing in anything but wide open water.

1) Slowing down does not equal half-throttle. Only dumbasses do that.

2) Doing 25 - 30 past a camp is way different than 60 - 70 like those guys do. That is unsafe to others who use the waterway. You may be fishing a tournament, but other people actually live and fish there regularly. Don't be a prick.

HUGE wake.

But yes, it depends on the size of the area. Common sense is needed. I have not seent this canal.
