LINK

And it reveals almost nothing, but it makes me perplexed on what is really going on. Pixar is keeping the actual plot of the film very close lipped and I don't think we've seen hardly any footage outside of the first 20 minutes, aside from the fact that there are some spirits and a couple of bears. They must be preparing to blow us away, since I'm really looking forward to it. I'm wondering though if this marketing will come to bite them in the arse financially, since all it looks like from the commercials is that its an Archer girl who has mother issues.

In other Pixar related news, they've announced another upcoming film that will be called "Day of the Dead", to where it will have something to do with that Mexican holiday. Here's the list of their upcoming films.

Brave
Monster's University
The Good Dinosaur
An Inception-like film that takes you into the mind
Dia de los Muertos

Brad Bird is also supposedly working on The Incredibles 2.

It kinda looked like the spell she asked for turned her family into bears, with the three little ones looking like her brothers and the one at the end of the trailer looking like it was following her, and the other guys asking where the queen was.

At any rate, looking forward to this Pixar film more than any outside of possibly Incredibles when it came out.

......I think you spoiled it. It makes perfect sense. 3 bear cubs, at least one bear allied with her. Plus her fate will have been changed; without her three little brothers, she no longer has to be married off to another family, and without her mother she is free to do as she pleases. I think that Pixar put in a false trailer (as they do so often) to throw us off the scent with the Bear attacking Ginger.

This was my thought as well, her wish was very open ended, which goes along with the unintended consequences in alot of fables. She could still have to defeat a bear as a way to break the curse/wish I suppose, but could very well be a typical bait and switch with Pixar.

The narrator sounds like the woman from Boardwalk Empire.

She plays the girl.

Looking forward to this one. How to train your Dragon was excellent, and this looks just as good.

Not sure how that's relevant here, but HTTYD was definitely a good movie.

Trailer looks good. Pixar can do no wrong IMO, and I will continue to put utmost faith in their films sight unseen. I mean shite, Cars 2 was even good.

Bears can smell the menstruation.

This movie actually does look decent. They need to come out with The Incredibles 2 sooner though.

It's Pixar's first attempt at a fairy tale, and I have the utmost confidence that it will be done well and probably truer to the original story than the Disney versions of fairy tales. From Wikipedia:

quote:

Premise
In Scotland, stories of battles and legends have been passed through generations. Merida (Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), is determined to carve her own path in life. Merida ignores an age-old custom sacred to lords MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane), inadvertently causing controversy and chaos in the kingdom. When she turns to an eccentric Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish and must discover the meaning of true bravery.

Another promising thing is that Pixar confirmed that the princess will not find true love in the film and that the film is more about the relationship between a mother and daughter. I really can't think of a princess film where it doesn't end with the princess getting married to the prince, or at least running away with him. That in the very least will make it exception among the fantasy genre.

Looking forward to this one. Kids have all gone off to college, so will have to come up with some kind of excuse to see it.

Nah...Pixar films are definitely high quality enough to go see them without an excuse.
