Atomic frameless mask is the best on the market. Widest field of view, lightweight, low volume, comfortable, lifetime warranty. I have 3 of them. The mask is very important, a shitty one will make your dive uncomfortable.
3 mm wetsuit is fine for water 72F and above. I used a 3 mm all hear except December through March. A hooded vest is a good alternative to getting a thicker suit for cold water. Henderson and aqualung make some of the best suits. Bare is also pretty good

Looking at the Mako 1-Piece Green Aquatic Closed Cell Wetsuit. It comes in 1.5 and 3.5 mm. I'm extremely wiry (what you call scrawny 
), 6' tall & 155 lb.'s, would I be better off with the 1.5 or 3.5 for rig diving and the occasional toledo bend dive? I get cold before 90% of people do, but don't want to get the 3.5mm if that's too hot for the majority of the year.
