Just decided I'm not going after all. As awesome as last year was, this year isn't worth the price of admission, especially when I can't make Sunday anyway. The only performers I'll be upset to miss are SCI and Flaming Lips. I just can't get excited about DMB, RHCP, Wilco, and certainly not fricking Skrillex

I've never seen RHCP so I'm looking forward to that. UM and Tribe are great shows and SCI/Lips/Dave should all be great on the beach. Lips/Primus rocked last year

E-mail sent. The knucklehead private security at the gate probably can't tell the soft cooler isn't just part of my backpack, anyway. Even if they respond no to my e-mail, I'm still trying. The cooler was $8.
Oh, I also brought in frozen Polar Packs instead of begging for ice last year.(FTMFW) Had no problems the first or third day. On the second day, private security waved a Gulf Shores cop over to see if she should let me in with them, and the cop was like: "Don't be stupid. Let him in."

For those wondering about wristbands being re-used, I went Sunday last year and a guy leaving the festival gave me his wrist band for free. I managed to squeeze it over my hand and got in for free just in time to see the Drive By Truckers.

i was under the impression they were going the draft beer route this year because they had dos equis as a choice and dos equis dosen't come in 16oz cans

what if you use your insulated cooler as your beach bag? Like have all your stuff in it, then when you get in, put your stuff in a friend's bag and ya'll use your bag as the cooler? I was thinking about doing that.

So I still haven't figured out the parking situation. I may be coming in from Foley, and I realize I will probably hvae to take the shuttle in. Can I park my car near teh shuttle location on Gulf Shores pkwy?

All of the shuttle points have parking.
I don't know how it is coming in from the north, but coming in from the east we drove and parked last year and never had a problem finding parking along E 1st and 2nd avenues. There was no traffic and I lulzed at all the suckers sweltering in the heat with all the stinky hippies waiting for a shuttle.The shuttles were a mess last year, but its supposed to be vastly improved this year.

our group is taking the north shuttle from the walmart that is at fort morgan road. We didn't have any issues getting to/from gate and shuttle spot. I only wish the shuttle would go down Ft. Morgan Rd. because driving from the shuttle drop off back to the beach house was BRUTAL for me. crazy things were crossing the road, except they weren't. 
On to the meet up-I think Saturday would be better than friday. I suggested right before Shpongle, but am open to other suggestions. Hell, we could even meet up at the Hangout bar and take a shot or something. Doesn't matter to me!

I don't have any idears for IRLMB/OTHOGT. Somebody just call it! I think later in afternoon would be better though, cause my old arse isn't getting there at noon everyday.
