Looking at your link, it seems that Head got more of the crossover vote. Each candidate dominate the area they live in, but if you look at the areas, like Algiers, the precincts that Head won and much better turnout.

I used the precint returns, there is no precint where Head got 100% of the vote there were several where CWL did. There was one in the third ward which had no votes I assume that was a precinct that no longer exists or a mistake in the reporting.

Well, in my opinion, he's doing okay. His police chief embarrassed him in the beginning, but it happened early on and I don't think it will be a factor long term. Considering that he's working with a city that remains majority black (although less so) with a large underclass, he's slowly bringing things around, imo. This administration is light years ahead of the previous one in terms of competence. But, as he's acknowledged, we didn't get where we are overnight, and we won't completely change things overnight. We'll see.
Now, I predict there will be the usual suspects chiming in who won't like Landrieu no matter what.

I was never anti-Mitch until I learned more about him recently (the cynical CWL endorsement didnt help). I'd still rather have him over Nagin, or Morial, any day, but I detest him as a person and politician.

Well, my limited dealings with the guy were okay. Of course, I don't know what you're referring to, but nobody gets to be mayor of a city like New Orleans, or any other major city for that matter, without fricking someone over along the way. As sad as it is, I honestly believe that's reality.

As most of you know, im no Democrat, and i also dont live in NO,but i do follow the news there alot by listening to WWL almsot everyday. And i will say that to me, the Mayor seems to really want NO to be a great city Again. I think he has done a decent job.

I voted for Head, but I didn't think that CWL was the worse candidate. What turned a lot of voters off was-
