If we keep it close we are going to win a lot of game but if we get behind and behind big our offense isn't explosive enough to make a big come back against a good team. I know we can...but it isn't our strength. We have to keep games close.

baseball is usually this way if you fall behind big you usually don't come back, even though there are exceptions.

So you're saying our likelihood of winning greatly diminishes when we fall behind by alot of runs?

You do realize that it hasn't been the strength of any baseball team in the history of baseball to come back from 8-1 defects right? It's not just LSU's weak spot.

Put it this way....we don't have power hitters. Kentucky and Florida are never out of a game. Past lsu teams I've never felt out of a game. Today when we went down 6-1 is was over. That's it deny it all you want. You teenagers need to get off this board.

You say that now because we lost and didn't make a run. We are good enough to come back as we did against Florida. Obvious idiot is obvious. They should create a below 80 IQ test to access the internet to keep retards like you off of it.

ETA: In case you didn't know, Kentucky is one of the best teams in the country.

Yeah, we've never come back from a deficit like that before.

Kentucky has power hitters that can hit home runs over a 310 ft right field fence. Since when is the only way to win baseball games by hitting a HR? If we can string together 2-3 hits in an inning we score runs. We were capable of coming back when it was 6-1, but our chances are slim, just like with any other baseball team in America.

FWIW, I understand and agree with your post. We don't have the power to put up the quick 2,3,4 runs with one swing and turn the momentum around that quickly.

If I'm not mistaken, most of our losses have been blow outs, with the exception of the Auburn series. I'm still having a tough time adjusting to small ball, I guess, but this Tiger team is scrappy and continues to play well. Certainly capable of beating anyone on any day.

I'll take a dominating pitching staff over a "power hitting" team any day.

That's all I'm trying to say. I like this team but out pitchers have to keep it close. We are not a typical SEC power. We are a west coast style team.

What do you mean by "our"? Are you referring to McNeese?
