I don't really understand what you guys are trying saying. are you trying to say that we really don't want MANY, HIGH QUALITY OOS guys. not trying to start an argument but the staff would be giddy if we could land prevot or gilmore next week. all I'm saying is that it is not for lack of trying hard that we have not landed any QUALITY oos guys, we just have not done it YET and others have.

And were saying we never do this so stop freaking out. If you think we havent lite up the recruiting trail so far, do you think weve never lighten it up before? Because this is nothing new

Im going to repost this again

Last year Avery Johnson(a legacy) was the only OOS recruit LSU had before July. 2012 commits (Scout) In the 2010 class Trevon Randle was the only OOS recruit LSU had before July. 2010 Scout In the 2008 class Kellen Theriot was the only OOS recruit LSU had before June. 2008 Scout In 2007 Steven Ridley (everyone else offered at LB) was the only OOS recruit LSU had befoe May 31st. 2007 Scout Most of this class will be from Louisiana. The quarterbacks are waiting for the guys ahead of them to commit. Most of the other OOS guys are national recruits that will probably be late to commit.

Who fricking cares? Our success is predicated upon instate recruiting. And if you've managed to look at any scouting service, it's not as if we aren't in on OOS prospects. Give it a rest.

Hollins, have those guys committed anywhere yet? That's the point. most of our OOS targets haven't commited anywhere yet. The coaching staff can't force the kids to commit before they're ready to. The only major OOS guy we were chasing that has commited anywhere is Barrett. Heuerman is next and he's not coming here. Hell the top kids in LA haven't committed anywhere yet but they will and most if not all to LSU. Every kid is different. If you'd have asked Bama fans this time last year they would have sworn Nkemdiche would be committed to them by now but I don't see anyone questioning their recruiting.

Now, a few of us would take issue with the idea that the top LA kids have not committed anywhere yet. Diarse and Brazil are two highly regarded recuits, and Diarse at least seems to be rated among the top five overall players in the state by most of the so called experts.
