I was referring to nba2k12
I don't play basketball games. They are always a clusterfrick of style over substance. . .which I guess puts them in direct parallel with the actual NBA.
quote:Mainly a more realistic AI, and better collision detection.
I've never played it but i'd like to hear what all the fuss I about.
APF2K8 had collision-based tackling 3 years before Madden.
There's a whole series of videos out there detailing the differences.

If they are valid, then they should be repeated where appropriate.
So you're one of those who believe their opinion is superior and everyone should hear it repeatedly. Got it.

If my criticism is valid, and you are all "wtf?" during games. . .your inability to act consistently is evidence of your unconditional love.
Wrong. My ability to accept flaws and imperfection allows me to enjoy games and several other aspects of life. I suppose you're still looking for that mythical woman who is perfect, too (if you're into that sort of thing). Good luck.

I don't know everything that goes into making a computer monitor, either. . .but when it flickers, I know it isn't working correctly.
Yep, because a computer monitor and a computer game are the same beast. I bet you're the first person to realize that a car can't drive when a tire falls off, aren't you?
quote:
Of course I want perfection. Who doesn't?
If you are saying I am demanding perfection, then you are just being insecure.
Contradicted yourself in back-to-back sentences.
quote:
you claim I repeat them to the point of your committing them to memory, so you should know well what they are.
Right. And many others probably know them by heart, too. So let it go, brahmin noodle.

You just admitted that you don't understand the difference between the words "want" and "demand". Is there an adult in your house that I can speak with? Or at least someone with a 5th grade vocabulary?
I want a cheeseburger. I am not demanding a cheeseburger.
See the difference?
I can see where you would get confused, though. . .aside from their amazingly similar spelling. . ."want" and "demand" mean exactly the same thing.
That was sarcasm, btw. Which does not mean the same thing as grapefruit.

Right. And many others probably know them by heart, too
At least you have Jay22 cheering you on. . .he lacks even your mediocre skills, and must cling to other people's arguments.
Lonestar fleur will be here shortly to do the same.

Wow. You're one angry man. But if you insist...
Most everyone has an opinion, but not everyone chooses to voice it... on a continuous basis. You're the latter.
Hence, why we all think you are a
or you are at the least choosing to act like one via your personal attacks and incessant tirades over a video game.
First, accepting imperfection isn't accepting 2nd rate. It's the ability to understand something can't reach perfection, which is everything,
because you will never find happiness. Seriously.
And I thought you would understand that imperfection doesn't necessarily indicate broken. Do you view yourself as "broken," because I can guaran-damn-tee you aren't perfect.
You're comparing two very different animals; you're equating a lawn mower and a spaceship. Both have engines and use fuel, so they must be the same! WHY DOES THE LAWN MOWER WORK "PERFECT" BUT THE SPACESHIP ALWAYS NEED IMPROVEMENTS!?!?!?!
And thanks for the lesson on "want" and "demand." But just so you know...
Want vs. Demand
Check the 3rd synonym.
And PLEASE, show me where I've misrepresented your arguments.
Toodles, friend.

We had another thread play out exactly like this, with him
In fact, every NCAA thread on here turns into this.
I'm glad someone else has stepped up to counter his ridiculous statements. Keep fighting the good fight.

I don't think they are ridiculous statements, though. We are all pretty much in agreement the game needs improvements. Yes, the DBs are psychic. Yes, the LBs can out-jump Michael Jordan. Yes, the WRs sometimes look like they're out for a daily stroll in the park. We all know there are flaws, but some of us choose to look past them and continue to play.
But man, the constant bombardment of negativity has to stop sometime, because there will always be issues. If an atheist went into every religious thread on the board and starting claiming how there is no god (I use this solely as an example), people would eventually tire of it. Not that his opinion is right or wrong, but it's monotonous. We get it. Let us Christians believe, and we'll let you not believe.

Yeah he's entitled to his opinion and I'm not a fan of ea either really.
I just work in software development, and really enjoy NCAA football. So... I tend to oppose many of his statements

I don't really enjoy the apparent discrepancy in game quality from EA. FIFA seems so great, while other titles seem to lack. Why? I have no idea, and I don't pretend to know.
NCAA is the only college football game out there. And while that's the case, I'll most likely continue to play it because I enjoy the game, even with it's flaws.

First, I never said your criticism is invalid or that you don't have a right to voice it. It's merely that you're a broken record about it. Anytime a NCAA topic is spawned, I can bet $5 you'll be in it saying something negative or cynical.
