I was as big of skeptic as anyone, but I am really behind this guy b/c of what he said as well as guys like self and Coach K. He will be a better recruiter and run an entire different offense and defense. At least it was the change i think alot of people were wanting.

That's not even my point. You are just now giving up your season tickets? That's just dumb. If you were going to get rid of them why didn't you at some point over the past 3 years? You choose the most exciting time we've had in 3 years to say "you're done."
How many coaching gurus have to tell you this is a good hire before you believe it? Nobody is saying we going to the ship this year, but most people who know basketball are saying we are gonna get much better in short time.
Are you gonna come back on here to announce when you buy new season tickets after we get good again? Bandwagon much?

Comments came from coaches friends and other coaches.
They were called and asked for a quote, and of course they are going to say something nice. Its a coaching fraternity, they dont talk bad about other coaches unless they really hate them. None of the comments should hold any water with anyone. Its like asking someone's mom if their son is handsome

Then what would be the point of this board? I'm a positive, glass half-full kind of person. Johnny Jones is our new head coach and will be here at the very least 4-5 years from now. So instead of bitching and hurting the program, I am going to throw support behind the guy and hope he does well.
Being negative and bitching at this point does nothing but hurt LSU. The hire has been made. DEAL WITH IT.

Knowing our fan base and the way they feel about urban sports and urban coaches, they'll continue to pack the Box and our basketball program will continue to stagnate.

For Collis Temple Jr to publicly bash Trent is unforgivable. With that said, Trent just wasn't willing to promote LSU basketball, and couldn't bring in the recruits to have a tourney team. I'll pull for Johnny and hope he does well. If he doesn't, both he and Alleva should be gone.
