I dont think Tubby would be a better hire. Tubby's old
he's gone to the postseason 4 out of the last 5 years in the big 10 which is much, much more difficult than the sunbelt

I'll be supportive but the perception of who truly is running the show bothers me.

The bright side is that we will save a lot money. If Jones was only making 200k then we should only have to pay him ,what, maybe 350k?

i would have a better tourey resume if i coached at kentucky
yeah because any ole person off the street could make 3 elite 8 and 2 sweet 16. nevermind the nc.

We better not be paying him 1.5 million or anything ridiculous

we consistently had 4 and 5 star players out the arse every year in thst period.

Brandon Bass, Stromile Swift, Tyrus Thomas, Marcus Thornton, Glen Davis, Chris Duhon, Danny Granger, Greg Monroe, Paul Millsap, Marcus Fizer.

Add in Tweety Carter and and few others and you got some pretty dang good talent. Not calif or NY like, but a hell of lot better than "sucks". imo

With Brady's players
no, at nevada and stanford. jones hasn't done anything like that at all. and he's been in an easy conference

JJ's main strength, I guess, is that he will supposedly lock-down LA
yet again, this isn't enough. not even for the best of college programs.

kinda like tubby smith did in minnesota
tubbs' minn resume is 10 times better than jones' at ntex. and tubbs is in a legit conference. again, jones made the postseason twice in 11 seasons. i'm just not impressed by that and no lsu fan should be. tubbs would have been a disappointing, yet solid, safe hire.

I generally have a favorite when LSU is doing a coaching search. I didn't have a favorite this time. But I will go on record as being 100% against this hire. Can I be won over, sure. But its gonna take alot of wins to do that. Its hard to forget his connections to the Lester Earl situation.

Tubby, he inherited the National Championship at Kentucky after that he was very average
3 elite 8 and 2 sweet 16 is far, far from average. it might be low by ky's standards but, it is undoubtedly above average.

Hiring a guy like Johnny is a huge upgrade from what we had
no one can substantiate this statement. jones is underwhelming at best.

This is his dream job and he wants to be here
this does not equal wins in the sec.
