One of my goals for this Fall is to try to set a trade hunt thread on the Outdoor Board.

While I personally cant take everyone who wants to go Osceola hunting, I typically guide one or two hunters each Spring. We may be able to line something up for sure. I'm not batting a thousand but I'm damn close..

What I will do though, is relinquish the best kept secrets for public land hunting and obtaining trespass permits. I'll tell the OB when and how to apply for limited draw permits and in which units. The prime units will take two years to draw; but many have a nearly 50% success rate. So I may not be able to take you hunting but I can damn sure put you in the birds. The good news is a draw permit and a hotel is a hell of a lot cheaper than a $2K guided hunt and more fun too..

I'm planning on being out there in the morning.

I got my Haint in Wed and have been practicing with it. I basically use a duck feed call with it. It still isn't perfect but it sounds pretty good. Actually if I listen to me call on a recording it sounds better that I think.

Anyway, I hope it helps me get my first bird in two years.
