Are you sure of the accuracy of that diagram? That's almost a 90 degree hook (for a left hander) with a wedge.

Yea, I have some questions about that diagram as well. No one ever reaches that bunker off the tee, and Bubba would've been real close to it had he hit it at his intended target.

Bubba said he had 155 and a 40-50 yard hook to the green. Does that seem proportionate?

Yea, probably so when you account for the added distance given he was so far offline. The very front of that bunker in the fairway is probably 125 or so to the center of the green, considering the hole is 495. Here's a pic of #10 from a yardage book, and you can see 148 is a 320 yard drive, and the bunker isn't yet in the picture.

If you watch it on Youtube though, he is very close to being even with the bunker. I think he just bombed the frick out of that drive.

Didn't his drive roll on the path some which gave the ball a bit of extra distance, and Bubba can kill the damn thing.

The wedge was a thing of beauty and to hit it when he did was amazing.

He was pretty much even with the bunker, but his ball in no way took that path. He hugged the tree line a little tighter and could almost see the left part of the green from where he was. Lost in all this though is that he only parred. Oosthuizen should have parred also from his lie just off the fairway. He choked big time.

There are no cart paths at augusta

And I have no clue how accurate this picture is. I got it off of another players facebook page who was giving bubba props for pulling it off.

There are maintenance paths, though. Just checked Google Earth. Thats pretty close to the angle he had.

Google search. Someone posted Kevin Streelman's yardage book on golfwrx.com. LINK

So during the rest of the year outside of masters weekend, do all the members walk the entire 18 with caddies? or do they use carts?

First of all, Augusta is closed from somewhere around now until the fall. I doubt the course gets a whole lot of play anyway. But, yes, when the members play, they play with caddies. No carts.

The Augusta National ain't no Bushwood, Kracka

There are some carts at the course (in fact The biggest cart companies are based in Augusta, GA) but when you play there - you walk with a caddie.

So when is the course open to the memebers?

I played a course in scotland without carts or paths. It was really nice, looks nuch better without all that concrete.

What is Bubba going to do with that wedge.

Wow dude, really? That shot was amazing and won him the tourney, if he needed a birdie I'm sure he would have gone for it more with his putt, instead of just making sure it was close
