Coach Brown told me that Johnny Jones will have immediate credibility with three of the top high school coaches in Louisiana history: Kenny Almond, Gary Duhe and Bernard Griffith,
wow that would be great if it was 1990. All three of those guys are long gone from the top of the LA HS basketball scene

With this hire LSU Basketball has the opportunity to regain its former greatness; the greatness that was stolen by a sanctimonious, self-serving and unjustifiable NCAA.
wow it is as if the NCAA killed warner's pet or something. Hey Chris, I love the glory days of LSU Basketball as much as anyone but here is a news flash: THEY DID IT. THEY WERE GUILTY. GET OVER IT.

Carse takes credit for CJ & other here (could be wrong but I dont think it is a case of George O'leary resume padding)
Dale Brown hired Stanley Roberts HS coach Jim Childers as an Asst Coach. Just like he did with Abernathy (Macklin's HS coach), Mike Mallet (Nikita Wilson's HS coach), and Rick Huckaby (Howard Carter's HS coach). LINK So unless Carse could hire Asst Coachesat LSU I seriously doubt he had much to do with bringing Stanley Roberts to LSU. LINK

Yeah, can we just move on from everyone trying to justify the harsh sanctions that killed our program? It was on his watch, bottom line.

Ronnie Henderson had some amazing cars when he was at LSU. I remember an old 65 or so camaro that was mint condition in 95 and he replaced that with the first 1996 Toyota Supra Turbo in Baton Rouge JOHNNY DIDNT KNOW!

Same arguement he will get louisiana players. SO WHAT. Louisiana has very little basketball talent. Who cares about Louisiana coaches they lack talented players. We havn't had a top 10 player since swift.this year our highest rated player by rivals was gathers a four star at 37. Shaq and Chris Jackson were not from louisiana THE OLD BOY NETWORK IS AT WORK. not one other school has offered Jones since he's been at NT! Go look at how kentucky recruited very few Ken players. You must get the best to win where ever the are!

TBH, Louisiana has produced some talent. Greg Monroe comes to mind. Big time recruit went to Georgetown.
