It always seemed to me that the best response to this is:
and we still didn't win anything. X's and O's is one component. Recruiting is one component. Demonstrating that he had a good class or couple of classes is nice, but the fact remains they fell short. Has Johnny recruited any players near that caliber in the subsequent 20 years or so?

Went to the final four with him as an assistant
Also Ill take having guys like Chris Jackson and Shaq and beating Georgetown Loyola marymount and UNLV in the regular season then getting bounced early over the past 3 years....

Aint gonna happen at UNT...landed big time recruit lester earl in his latter years at LSU
I dont know how he did recruiting at memphis..
