If, we, as the fanbase can see that the Louisiana tie aspect isn't important, and the media sees it the same way, why can't the administration?
We need a coach that is exciting, proven winner, and good recruiter. These aspects are way more important than the Louisiana ties.

We should hire Tyndall he can recruit nationaly.
Jacobs the BOS member is wrong Louisiana is no hot bed of basketball talent. Except about every 5 years Louisiana, cannot sustain a championship BB team.
Brady recruited Louisiana and every few years he would have a decent team, but NOT CONSISTANTLY!

He should not be a canidate!

My point exactly, suntiger. Getting us a head coach just because he has LA ties will get us nowhere if he can't recruit outside of LA. We don't need a coach with LA ties. His assistants with LA ties will serve that purpose even better.

Bruce Pearl said this recently on the radio. Where the head coach is from doesn't matter. Hire assistant to fill in those weaknesses.

If without show-cause, BP would be my #1 wish by far. Loved him as an Asst at Iowa, UWM, Tenn. Has his faults, but is just the wear-it-in-on-his-sleeve barnstormer that Dale was. Has that same salesman charm and charisma.
