No you stupid fricknut. No one in the NFL got murdered. Those situations are apples and oranges.

People who play football know it is a tough nasty brutal sport. They know there is a chance to get hurt. Every person who hase ever played QB knows the defense is coming for him and if they get him they will hit him as hard as possible hoping he cant get back up.

Every team leader and rush leader and yardage leader knows they are now the target of a defense. So the guys got together in the lockerroom and gave each other some extra money for hitting people. Boo fricking Hoo.

Should GW have said the stuff he said, prob not.

Should Vilam have offered $10,000 to anyone who takes Favre out, prob not

Am i mad at those guys, yes

Does this in any way shape or form constitute some groundbreaking change in my opinion of the entire Saints organization, SP, the NFL, football in general, of course not. Football is violent. Its why we watch it. And if you dont think thats true you are naiive and kidding yourself.

And everyone in the NFL also knows that being paid to injure is against the rules.

Just because you grow up in the inner city where a lot of nasty things happen does not give you license to murder. Why? Because murder is against the rules of civilization in the same way that being paid to injure deliberately another player is against the rules of the NFL.

Why do you think Pass rushers and big hitters get paid more money than anyone else in the NFL at their respective positions?

Would it be better if they just gave some extra money out after each game rather than put it up before?

OHHH SNAP. Think I just found a loophole.

Every player that signs a contract has a rule in place that "incentive based play can be rewarded monetarily on a per game/per play situation".
BOOM.

That's just a nice way of saying "bounty on dat arse" and calling it a good day.

That's like saying "Well, rape happens all over the world but we got caught. But, but, but, they do it EVERYWHERE so why are we being punished?"

The proper analogy is speeding. Everybody was speeding. The Saints got caught speeding, and they got put in jail. And when the Saints asked why the cops didn't pull anybody else over, he said "I didn't see anyone else speeding."

No, do you know what's a childish mentality?
The belief that we can only be angry at one party.

If we say "frick Goodell," you ask "Why aren't you blaming GW?"
If we say "The snitch is a dick," you say "Well, you're just ignoring what SP did wrong. "

No, dude.
I can feel anger towards Goodell and the snitch AND GW and SP, even at the same time.
The feelings are not mutually exclusive.
I can have these complex feelings...because I'm an ADULT.

GW started this bounty program. It was dangerous, against the rules, and made or Defense worse.
SP was a weak leader and covered up and lied about the program for years.
Goodell drop penalties that were too harsh on us, and he acted WAY too self-righteous about player safety considering he couldn't give a shite until the lawsuits.
And the snitch snitched on his former team, the team that gave him a ring. He's the one I'm least mad at.

Do you see how that works?

Sure.
But none of these threads say that. They only blame Goodell or try and find the snitch.

The OP maybe. But many of us have expressed anger towards everyone involved. We dont like being painted with a broad brush on this board.

And I'm thinking of starting a cathartic thread that will allow us to express our disappointment in the organization's leaders.

Jesus Christ you are rediculous. There is no "Evil" in the saints organization. The snitch certainly does not have my gratitude. I am a "real fan".

They were getting paid by themselves not the club. Where is the video evidence of these injuries you speak of?

You're joking right? Didn't you see the way we raped the Falcons and killed the Colts? The beating we gave them should probably be illegal.
