We go inshore fishing in FL every year and our guide runs a 21' with a 250 on it. For a heavy-ass boat, it will still stroll. The bayou was dead one year and we took it out in the Gulf about 12-15mi and it did great. Much drier than I expected. Hammered the Snapper and Grouper on Redfish tackle. It was a large time.

Thats not too bad, I actually think most of the 31s come about like that unless you order custom and give up fishbox room for fuel. But with 250 usable. At 1.2-1.5mpg fully loaded(probably closer to 1.0), a 115 nm overnighter to green canyon is shady/impossible. Still a badass rig

I overnight to GC all the time. Deep GC--Marco Polo, Atlantis, Mad Dog etc. 135+ from Fourchon. I've never used over 220 gal, and normally use less than 200 when it's calm. I get an honest 1.6-1.7 with a full canyon load. The fishbox holds 11 yf 60-70#, 4 big dolphin, 2 wahoo, and 8 snapper. At that point you have to jump on the lid to get it to close. The Regulator is a dog combared to the CH and doesn't get near the mileage or speed and has WAY less deckspace.

I have fished out of a 36' several times and it is hands down a fine boat. Dryhull that handles waves very well. ETA:May have been 32' now that I think about it. It was at least that.

Damn, thats awesome, I had no idea. Last one I fished on was nowhere near that, but I cant remember what it was powered with. I stand corrected.

Actually can get 2mpg at 30 with a day trip load, but I never run 30. Typical canyon trip is 4400 rpm --40 mph---24 gph. A little slower is more efficient, but when you have 130 miles to cover running 30 sucks. Gets 1.2 @ 50 Twin 300 Suzukis

But the Regulator looks more classy as you prance your family up the river to go eat.

I fished on a 31' yesterday. There was plenty of space to fish 4 of us but like someone mentioned, there was only 1 fishbox in the front. We had close to 400 lbs of fish in there before it was a tight squeeze. It was calm out so I can't say how it takes rougher seas but it was a nice ride.

Fish from a 19' regularly. Heavy as shite when towing. From here to Diamondhead, it threw the back end of my suburban all around through the east Wanted to add than they have an unsinkable guarantee on the hulls too IIRC
