I think Danny Murphy will be a good manager one day, and perhaps at Fulham. Many supporters have expressed this desire as Murphy is such a heady player on the pitch, and the side has been better the last few years on days when he plays. But he's slowing down, now, and his body is betraying his mind. I started following Fulham because of the American players. There was a day back in about 2004 or 2005 when they fielded a side which included: Kasey Keller Carlos Bocanegra Brian McBride Clint Dempsey, and then they brought on Eddie Johnson. It started for me when the got McBride. Until then, I followed the teams with the American keepers, as well as Sheffield Wednesday when Harkesey played for them. But Fulham was the first club to take the chances on more than one American outfield player. I've come to love this club, the ground which I pine to visit, and it's inconsistent history. I hate that Dempsey is more than likely to leave, but now that I've committed my fandom to this club, I can't change now.

it's like I could have written your post and have it applied to me (other than following American keepers elsewhere).
