This is a thread hijack - but this is just one of the reasons why I've never understood people claim morality is dependent upon religion.
Even today (or perhaps even more so today) people who are religious pick and choose from religious beliefs. That is, they typically no longer believe in stoning people to death, eating shellfish being an abomination, keeping slaves, sacrificing your child to a voice in your head... so clearly they are applying a morality other than a religious one to screen out the more immoral parts of their religion

Can't link it from my phone but check out blessedatheist.com....its an eye-opening blog and its part of the reason I woke up and realized the bible is lame after 20 years of believing it.

This is Wrath James White. He is a horror writer and one of the most influential atheists in America (according to some atheist magazine -lol). Regardless, he is a retired MMA fighter, kick boxer, trainer, etc.

To the OP, you couldnt take on any atheists, because as a Christian, aren't you taught to turn the other cheek? Unless (dare I say it) you are like 90% of the defensive Christians on here who have never done a single ounce of volitional charity work in their life, or follow Jesus's teachings on a regular basis, yet think giving up meat for an arbitrary period of time constitutes being a good Christian

An interesting aspect of this thread is how many OTers equate being muscular with being able to fight. Those two things have nothing to do with each other.
