Won't weigh in on this debate. I'm just here to put on record my objection to this topic being here on this board. It just brings out the worst in people.

My gif on the first page was my input on this thread being here.

There are two things in life you should NEVER argue about: politics and religion. You won't change anyone's mind and all it does is create unneeded tension. Let's just not worry about who prays and when and just unite as the small crowd of Hornets fans.

the debate really isnt about religion though its just people getting irrationally upset because for 30 seconds they are burdened by believers praying for some odd reason

I don't expect you to prostrate in a show of humbleness or stand quietly while I do. I just think it is ignorant and shallow to pray in sports. Kind of devalues the "power of prayer."

Totally agree.

Again, I won't say on what side of the debate I fall, but that is an unfair and misleading manner in which to frame the opposing position. This is in no way to say that I'm against the prayer, but if you're going to argue a position on a sensitive issue, do so with integrity.

i respect you not wanting to put a position and while i do believe in a deity i am not really a practicing christian but in this thread not in society as a whole people seem upset because of the 30 second prayer before the game. Seems a bit excessive to me

Sorry. Can't let this one go, fearthehat. How in the world do you equate not approving of a pre-game prayer with "Jesus hating"?

I think there are equal amount of judgemental people on both sides. Tell some athiest you believe in Jesus and you are a retard and vice versa.

Neither side likes the extreme people but both sides gets labeled by their extremeist
