No, I rip people for bringing him up as if it is relevant in this discussion. If you want to discuss him in the context of what he did (pros and cons) so we can determine what our next coach needs to do and not do to succeed, fine. But if you want to drum up the merits of firing the guy five years ago, frick off.
Why do people like yourself spend so much time discussing the merits of Brady as if trying to promote him to us five years post-coaching career at LSU is going to bring him back from the dead? Get over it. It's pathetic. You're pathetic.

I think we had far more scoring options this year so the burden was lessened as far as Stringer thinking he had to score. Somewhat the opposite to the transformation of bo spencer when he was forced into the role of a scorer when he really isn't.

His shot selection and defense have improved IMO. Still does a lot of things I wish he didn't do, but the improvement is there, even if it's small. Turner has regressed though.

Tiger you need to relax every one has an opinion just cause you disagree does not make people pathetic. This program has never been lower, brady left him a very good team and he did nothing to build off of it, it was his job to see he needed a little help for taz, warren and bo spencer, he should have went out and signed a couple of junior college guys for his second year he did nothing. Actually did nothing till he signed ralston turner. For anyone to think andre springer improved they do not know much about bb, stringer is a ball hog who shoots 33% he is a street player at best.

I'm glad he's gone too, particularly after Hamilton. I'm not going to apologize for supporting him, but you also won't see me coming on this board in five fricking years to tell everyone how freaking wonderful he is either. Hopefully in another five years y'all have given up on doing that with Brady. One can only hope.

Get over yourself. I never said anything about Dale Brown not being great for the program. He was the best head coach we've ever had. Obviously there are a lot of different elements involved in being a college basketball coach. I was simply responding to someone else who said that Trent was the best in-game coach we've ever had.
Dale Brown was a bad in-game coach. No doubt. He was a great recruiter, motivator, and salesman of the program. He put butts in the seats. He did his job better than anyone else in the history of the program.
My comment was strictly about his in-game skills, which is pretty clear if you follow the thread.
Maybe you should read before you try to attack everyone else on the board.

Great is a stretch, the lopez twins would have gone to stanford if elmer fudd was coaching there,. Marcus Thornton made TJ look like a genius. From a true bb perspective trent johnson may have been the worst d1 game bb coach I have ever seen. We got blown out in just about every 2nd half, time outs were a joke the kids were more confused coming out of time outs than going in and nothing good ever happened coming out of it. Shot more 40' bricks than any d1 college team ever, and then there is his recruiting, that is a whole issue by itself.

Whatever ... you basically said Dale was a bad coach. Bad coaches don't last as long as Brown did, nor do they compile the record of success that he had. I would love to have someone as "bad" as Dale Brown, as long as he brings the right assistants and recruits his arse off.

I guess you haven't realized that LSU basketball lives and dies by the talent in LA. Had CT not hand delivered all the LA talent you'd be singing a different tune. When LA talent is good , LSU is good. The talent in this state the last 3-4 years has been lacking.
