S, it looks like a win-win to me.

and to think, TCU could have saved a million of that $2 million, if only they had demanded that LSU pay a million of his first year's salary, half of TD would have ponied up.

Did the Tiger Rant help Trent make the decision?

If so, to all of you.

When Johnson is introduced as TCU’s 20th men’s basketball coach at a 2 p.m. Monday press conference, TCU administrators and athletic director Chris Del Conte will also tout Johnson’s history of winning.

“He’s a standup guy,” said a TCU basketball staff member of Johnson. “Chris hit a home run as far as getting a guy who came from a big private school [Stanford], and someone who could recruit the right kind of players for a school like TCU.”

Remember the shape Baylor was in when Scott Drew was hired--LSU is nowhere close to that.

It is possible to find someone, but I believe most of those names mentioned so far will be an improvement over T.J.

define soon.

define dominate.

where I come from dominate means you win your conference regular season two out of three years and you win the conference tournament two out of three years. Anything less is not dominating.

When TCU finishes above 3rd place in their conference, get back to us.

I gather you are very superstitious.
Just because we lost him, does not mean we will ever look back.

They are a small private school and they are concerned that some coach (without the Stanford cache) might have tried to bring in ruffians who would not enjoy their school work.

Trent has had one great season, his 4th season at Stanford, when they won 28 and got to the round of 16. The other three seasons were NCAA loss in 1st round, NIT loss in 2nd round, NCAA loss in first round and the sweet sixteen year. None of the other three years were even 20 win seasons. Nothing special.

They are choosing to ignore the LSU experience.

Caveat emptor.

Dont push it. There are still a couple of days before they ink the deal. Maybe they will bother to watch video of LSU vs Ole Miss, at Ole Miss at the end of the season. They renege and we are still stuck.

At TCU, as Johnson informed me yesterday, he will make about $2.3 million a year for the next six years.
