This is good news for Trent and for LSU. I am happy to have him go to TCU--he seems like a decent person and I am happy to have him land on his feet. However, I do not think that LSU was heading upward under his direction, and after watching LSU basketball for the past four years it seems that we were not going to get into the upper echelons of the SEC without a coaching change. We just have not been able to recruit the talent necessary to compete with the best teams in the SEC on a consistent basis.

yea the good news is signing period lasts through mid may i think, so they wont have to rush and get it done before wednesday but dont want to leave it too, too late.

Hopefully LSU can convince the few prospects left to wait to sign.
Somehow still land Hammink and Coleman, maybe a juco post player. That would be enough for now, at a minimum.

He finished 6th in the West FIVE times and made the NCAA Tournament 4 times in 11 years
It's not worth keeping a coach that finishes last in the SEC more than he makes the Tournament
