I know you have a small vendetta against Liverpool and Suarez, but LOL at this statement. I'd be curious to know what you define an "entire overhaul" as.

Overhaul is overhaul

'Entire overhaul' is overkill

Kind of like but this one goes to eleven.

re: Most underrated soccer player this soccer year.

Champions league football or not, Liverpool would offer him higher wages than Fulham could. As a Fulham fan I would like him to stay but frankly I would move on to a new job if they offered significantly more money so there wouldn't be much to say there.

He could also walk into Liverpool's starting 11 at the moment. That wouldn't happen at a United or City, or even really Arsenal although he could certainly find some playing time there.

The Fulham area of London is quite nice but he's rich, he could find a nice place to live in Liverpool, not sure why that has become part of the discussion. Although uprooting his family would be a bit of an issue.

I'm going!

Mainly because it's Liverpool.

Roma has a match in NY right after Boston but the opponent hasn't been named yet. I'm hoping it's not Red Bull since I see them a couple of times a year already.

Are you going? Still not sure if I just rent a car with my girlfriend and drive up for the match.

Because there's no such thing as a nice place in Liverpool. It's some weird concoction of the Magnolia Projects, South Sudan, and Mordor.

Fire Kenny: He has zero concept in managing modern football.

Sell Carroll for pennies on the dollar: Carroll's career tract looked phenomenal when he was at Newcastle. He just bombed at Anfield.

Give Gerrard an ultimatum: He needs to stay healthy, or risk losing his captaincy and assured starting role. He's getting a pass for lousy performance and constant injuries.

Either sell Suarez to an overpaying bidder or keep him on a short leash.

Get rid of Downing, Henderson etc.

Figure out a way to either renovate Anfield, or build a new stadium.

I don't have a vendetta against Liverpool as a club. I just don't like the entitlement and nearsightedness of their fan base. They handled the Suarez situation completely wrong and looked like apologists for racism. They gave death threats to the beach ball kid. They seem to think that Liverpool is still one of the elite brand names in world football, when they're not even in the top 3 in England.

Liverpool has done some nice gentrification in the city center.

The Albert Docks and the Liverpool 1 shopping center are very nice areas.

Then once you get out of that area, it looks like what I imagine Detroit must be like.

Him liking London would certainly be part of the decision, but it most likely won't be the main part.

Assuming Liverpool come in for him, he'll just have to decide if the money/bigger club is worth uprooting his family and moving from London. Also there's the uncertainty of leaving a club where you're the main figure to go to another club where your starting position isn't assured (although unless they make big moves it probably should be).

It would obviously be an easier decision if they were a champions league club.

Sorry we can't all agree with your politically correct worldview.

And every single fan base at every other club in England have never done anything approaching this kind of lunacy? Please.

So if next year United or Arsenal are not in the top 3 of English football they are not an elite brand name? Jesus dude who's being nearsighted now? Why is everyone on this board so stuck in the "what have you done for me lately" syndrome? Typical LSU fans. Next thing you know you're going to tell me that Michigan isn't an an elite brand name of college football because they've had a bad few years.

You really must have a vendetta. I just don't understand where you're coming from.

I've been to Liverpool many times. 99% of the time I spent outside of the city center. I thought there were many nice places. The city was clean and safe, and the people were as nice and helpful as anywhere I've been in England. I think there is a stereotype about the city and the people that everyone is so quick to jump on board with and it really is a shame.

I'm sorry that you seem to think that racially harassing a player is an acceptable behavior for a paid professional.

I'm not sure if you understand that the history of Liverpool includes their fans getting English teams banned from European competition (see Heysel 1985). Nowhere did I say that I don't think other fans overreact to incidents. LFC have the worst reputation for supporter behavior, outside of maybe Leeds and Millwall who are largely irrelevant (no offense S).

Gutting that Liverpool team would be the counter intuitive approach, and one I can't agree with. Though they overpaid for them, Downing, Henderson, and Adam have PL experience, and will be solid squad players for the next 3 or 4 years. Henderson could be excellent, but he needs to find a position. Those same players with a different manager could easily be top six. Hell, an aging Chelsea side and an in flux Arsenal side are in the top five this year.

'Pool's biggest problem has been lack of an offensive identity. They should just play Carroll and Suarez up top together, and figure things out from there. They've also been extremely unlucky, as they've hit the post on many occasions, as well as losing Lucas for the whole season.

If you put a more tactically astute (or at least tactically relevant) manager on that team, you have at the minimum a top six team.

I guess I agree with you on that count, but I don't agree that Liverpool can be in the discussion for Champion's League relying on Henderson, Downing and Adam.

I really don't want to rehash this. it's been debated ad nauseum on this board and no one's minds are going to be changed.

I'm not sure if you know the history of Liverpool either. Liverpool didn't get England banned. England did. Don't be so short sighted to assume your beloved Arsenal didn't have Firm issues with their club. The entire country did, and Liverpool just so happened to be the straw that broke the camel's back.

So then why point it out as some example of how Scousers are the worst of fan bases?

LFC have the worst reputation for supporter behavior, outside of maybe Leeds and Millwall who are largely irrelevant (no offense S).

I don't know how familiar you are with football culture, but that simply isn't the case. Do we have the best fans? No, and I'd say we're in the bottom half as far as behavior goes. But West Ham, Newcastle, Millwall, Leeds, United, and Chelsea all have a history of problems with fan violence that are in the same ballpark as Liverpool.

Who said rely? Those players are squad options, nothing more. They need a coach who can get the most out of Carroll, as he is still young, and is the classic English style striker that has destroyed the PL in the past. They have Suarez, who looks like a second striker through and through, yet is often played as a lone striker or ahead of Carroll. If they figure out their strike pairing, they'll be competing for a European spot on the table.

I think Suarez and Carroll were finally starting to click together with Steven, and Kenny benched Andy. I just don't understand anything Kenny does anymore. I guess now I know what Chelsea must have gone through with AVB. His subs and tactics just baffle me sometimes.

Like today, the width we had with Gerrard on the right and Downing on the left was killing Villa. Then he takes Stuart and Voldemort off. I just don't get it.

His tactics are usually baffling, and when he gets it right, 'Pool can't convert their chances or lose at the end. They need a new coach, someone who can work a shoestring budget and give them some tactical nous...Luciano Spalleti...
