Dempsey is not going to Liverpool. They're in a terrible state of flux, won't be playing in the Champion's League, have an incredibly out of touch manager (sorry Kenny Dalglish fricking sucks now), and a lack of any direction despite having the best technical director in the league in Commoli.
20Legend is right, why would a 29 year old, Dempsey leave for a club in a similar competitive position as Fulham in the latter stages of the prime of his career.
It's going to take an entire overhaul of Liverpool to fix the stagnant cesspool at Anfield. The only possible world class player on Liverpool right now is an unlikeable racist, who is inconsistently brilliant on his best day.
Dempsey has made it clear that he wants Champions League football and that's all in a potential transfer. He's done everything for a Fulham club that's midtable in every category..

I agree we're in a tough situation. But again, I would reiterate that this conversation is about Londoners not transferring to Pool because we play next to a slum. I appreciate the kind words though.

I agree, Dempsey should get to play in CL, so that would leave Liverpool out...

I'd think Dempsey may jump at the chance to play at Liverpool even without CL. Unless he goes to France, I'm not sure there's any solid CL qualified team for next year where he fits in. . .
Serie A would probably be a good fit in terms of his skill set but I think the Roma rumors are ungrounded and simply because he's American. Style-wise, Roma may not be a great fit for him (not to mention Roma is loaded with quality attacking players and desperately needs upgrades at every defensive position this summer).
