Westwood is what bothers me the most. They made some killer C&C games and then were pretty much disbanded.

don't forget the giant dump EA took on C&C before letting it go. . .

C&C 4 is the worst RTS game I have ever played. . .and they took one of the most iconic villains in gaming history, and turned him into a softy.

I don't mind Dragon Age II at all,
The story had it's moments.

The side characters are lifeless. . .

Butr the worst thing about the game, unforgivable, even. . .was the 4 or 5 maps they use. The only difference is which doors are unlocked.

Sank the whole game for me. DA1 is tits.

There are rumors that EA heavily rushed production of DAII

This should told us all we needed to know about the decline of Bioware. Quality and craftmanship was going out the window and speed of production was the order of the day.

also, I was wondering what golf fans thought of the evolution of the Tiger Woods franchise.. how does it compare to other EA sports titles?

I don't care about golf but I have a friend who works on Tiger Woods and I asked him what he thought about the "worst company" title yesterday. He's pretty proud of what they've done with the franchise and says the main thing holding them back is budget because "people don't give two shits about golf"

i've bought TW every year since 03.

I dunno honestly. I love the game, but I can't remember all that much of change in the last 3-4 years except for this year. It was still a good game, but the changes were minor.

This year on the otherhand has been incredible. Complete change in mechanics and the addition of the Online Country Club feature makes it worth $60 alone.

I find the game relaxing yet can be very competitive when you want to be.

Played dragon age 1 today. Noticed I really didn't care for the controls. Too PC like.

Is that why some people hate da2?

Because it appealed to more casual players?

That is one of the main problem with EA, and specifically ME. They take great titles and dumb them down. C&C, ME, Dragon Age, etc., are great examples.

No.

I liked the combat in DA2 over DA1.

The problems with DA2 are as follows:

1) Lifeless, undeveloped characters

2) Unforgivable laziness, with regards to the maps

3) Complete inability to customize party members. . .at all

4) Decisions made in DA1 have almost no effect on DA2

DA 2 shouldnt have been called DA 2 it was pretty much entirely separated from DA1. Thats the problem with it. The whole project reeked of another game that they switched over half way through because it couldnt stand on its own. Dont get me wrong. I liked it. But it really had almost nothing to do with DA 1. I mean your family flees kirkwall, you see Allister once, and Zeveran shows up and says he banged Isabella, other than that theres really not much that carries toward it being a sequel or a continuation of a story.

Hes either a troll or an EA plant. Thats the only way to explain his lack of imigination, logical deficits, and condescention for every other poster's opinion. However the same rules apply. If we want EA to stop making shitty games we should stop buying them. If we want him to go away we should stop responding to him.

Yeah, a troll or EA plant. Nobody could possibly like the ending or EA actually gives two shits what the gaming board of tigerdroppings has to say.

We are seeing a corporate take over of the video game industry. Much like we have seen with the take over of the music industry, the quality is steadily declining yet prices are rising.

Corporatism is taking over every aspect of our lives and it's all due to the hunger for more profits by the elite few.

At the end of the day EA is still a publisher so there are going to be some good games that roll through. Battlefield 3, dead space, crysis to name a few.

But there's no denying that they're incredibly hard on the companies that develop for them and it's always pretty obvious when EA forces their hand in the development process (the new MoH, spore games)

Corporatism has ensured that tons of low quality music is released every day, but at the same time there is still tons of great music out there if you know where to look.

The same is true for video games. Look at companies like Blizzard and Valve and many of the indie developers out there who produce stand out games on a regular basis.
