maybe if hilltopperdroppings was a lil more popular word would have gotten here sooner.

TBH, I think Johnny O'Bryant was all but gone and something changed his mind. Dunno what's up with Hickey but I hope he stays...

JOB would make the least amount of sense. Hamilton is already graduating, Hickey is not an NBA prospect.
Why would JOB want to transfer and sit out a year? Even if he hates Trent, he should stick out another year and go pro.

I'm beginning to think these guys' dislike of Trent is just that strong.

I do think that TJ was a mistake. But he isn't the one to blame, he was a bad fit from the beginning. The problem lies in the athletic dept itself not the BB program.

Could be the reason he hasn't left. He hasn't been shy about his intentions to not be a 4 year player.

So since JD tweeted this and the banquet is tonight for men's bball, I can expect an interview with either staff or indirect quotes from players leaving, right?
Or will they be doing a special interview with Del Piero's dad instead?

Jacques Doucet is a liar and a whore.
ETA: but he may be right on this one.

JD would not have said a word about this if it didn't have teeth. I have said from day one firing JB the way we did would set this program back five years if we didn't have a stud coach already in place. The way LSU handled firing brady was bush league and we are paying the price for it today. I could not believe we fired him when we did and did not have a clue of who the next coach was. Skip Bertman had 2 months left before he retired and he's gonna fire the BB coach, that stunk from day one. Why not let the next guy fire him, he was 18 months out of the final four and his best two players were hurt. TJ was the wrong guy for this job from day one and has done nothing but run this thing in the ground. Losing Jham to me is enough to be concerned and now it looks like his second best player is leaving also. Plus from what I know they have been beggin JOB to stay. What are we supppose to do wait around for another rebuilding debacle. It is time to cut bait today and get someone in here who knows how to recruit and deal with these kids from the south. TJ has lost this team obviously. I smelled a rat watching Ralston Turner play the way he did this year that kid was no where near the player he was as a freshman. TJ and Curly will go down as the worst hires in the history of LSU sports.

to me, the destruction of the program is almost laughable. I love going to the games and cheering them on... hell, LSU hoops is my favorite sports team, but Trent has brought this completely on himself. I'm at a point where I ask myself why I even bother going to the games anymore. I'm fed up with the direction this hack has our program headed.
good post

Nothing else to add. You can summarize from reading these other post.
I'm leaning toward us just getting a new coach now and not slipping another year.

The media covering LSU is so bad. Most of them have no idea about any of this, and the ones that know are too lazy or scared to write about it.
All we get is a cryptic Jacques Doucet tweet, referencing something that has been talked about here since Sunday night.
A real beat writer would be demanding interviews and answers from Bonnette, Trent, the players, etc. They don't want to get cut-off from the chicken wings at Alex Box.

Been that way forever with LSU and the media. You might get a few folks from the New Orleans paper who ask some questions, but everyone else is scared to rock the boat.
