didnt expect us to be down the whole way as big as we were. expected the game to finish up at about the spread it did though.

got super outrebounded which just absolutely fricked us. we had to win that battle and got destroyed in that aspect of the game. TRob and AD were miserable on offense. if TRob plays well on offense, this would be a great game. opposite goes for if AD plays awesome offensively. both teams played well defensively. doron lamb is a bastard.

we didnt catch any of the breaks that we needed to win. which is fine by me. they didnt need luck to win. pissed that EJ made that shot after he (obviously) traveled. wish he would have missed it.

awesome season, shitty game. bill self is the man. good win by UK. congrats

Kansas played great defense in the 2nd half, but honestly they only go as far as Thomas Robinson takes them on offense and he had a subpar game.

I cringed every time they threw the ball into Withey in the post.

Honestly, I was at the nat'l 'ship last year and ya'll would've DESTROYED butler or uconn. Ya'll were a good team, but UK was special, talent-wise.

Props to Kansas for sticking close and playing hard against an all-star caliber team.

the play where robinson came down with the rebound in one hand then got it stolen had me

Withey was a beast today. It seemed that whenever they had a chance to cut the lead down, they had an unfortunate turnover and then UK cashed in with a field goal. great season for KU!..interested to see if Withey and Johnson come back to play with Perry Ellis,Jamari Traylor and Ben Mclemore

Player of the Year sitting underneath the basket grabbing everything was the game.

Specific plays...the missed inbounds play - dunk at the end and almost steal and drive to nowhere - throwing the ball away...killed you.

Dude TRob had 18 and 17 reb...he far from sucked on offense...he averages 15 points a game, what more do you expect?

Why won't you admit it was the guards that were the problem?

And Withey neutralized Davis offense wise

Robinson put up solid numbers, but was low percentage from the field and missed a bunny or three.

Kansas played tough as hell down the stretch. They were a couple of terrible turnovers late and then that travel on the 3 away from making it VERY interesting.

Blaming him for the loss is going way too far.

Taylor had 5 costly turnovers and Johnson had 2, one was a backbreaker in the middle of the comeback

Was at the game. Heart broken for our guys.

In a game were we we're athletically and physically outmatched, we had to win the little things battle. And we lost it by a wide margin.

Too many missed dunks, missed layups and free throws, tipped balls, loose balls, TOs, and such to overcome.

I thought our refusal to dump the ball inside to Trob in the post was horrendous. He was running straight to the goal after every turn of possession, punishing Tjones, yet we hardly threw it inside. We had to ride Trob to the finishline and I dont think we did enough to even force feed him.

I think we needed to do that to get one of their bigs in foul trouble, and also go with a 4 guard, TRob lineup. Force them to guard us, and force either Davis or jones to the bench and ride TRob to the finish line. Having 2 bigs in the game was pointless because Davis knew he could sag off Withey and play in the paint--Withey cant shoot. Withey should have been replaced with a shooter so they would have to respect the shooter, this opening up the lane for Trob

I also thought running the same damn play 40 times in a row was dumb..the one to free one of the wings up for a three point shot.

The SuperDome hasnr been good to us.

And also, more 1-4 P/R would have been great wrinkle.

Thank you! This is what I have been trying to say.

Also agree with this. Watching the game on TV, you could see that Davis was sagging in the paint and not respecting Withey at all.

As much as Withey held back their offense at times, don't underrate the superb job he did defending Davis.

Withey played soft as bitch as well. With his few opportunities around the rim, he drew no fouls on Davis and didn't play strong in the paint. He was my x factor. If he could have neutralized Davis, It might be a different storh

Superb? I guess, but they didn't need him to score to win. Withey needed to keep him off the glass, and away from ball carriers whose shots he affected.

He cleaned the o and d glass (18) blocked shots (6) and probably altered 4 or 5 more shots.

TRob scoring a shite load doesnt matter when it's inefficient as hell. i love him to death and he worked his arse off, but didnt get the rolls or the luck today. i have no problem with that, it just happened.

costly turnovers happened, but they always do. cutting them down would have helped, but TT and EJ played well. i really dont think anyone played all that bad, regardless of what the stats might say. it just didnt happen tonight because of kentucky.

withey is awesome by the way. cant wait for next year with EJ, releford, and withey coming back and mclemore and ellis coming in. 9 straight big 12 titles is what im guessing.

1 last thought i just remembered. MKG's block on tyshawn was just RIDICULOUS. self drew up a gem and MKG gets beat on it but comes back and makes the play of the game. amazing.

Yall have some great fans. I was at the Dome and man, was it LOUD. Great game, and it's easy to see why Kentucky is so good once you see them in person. They just look so complete.

If Withey had any low post skills, it's a different first half. Had a lot of chances but whiffed.
