How can anyone from NOLA not like that? Shit, I don't like Mardi Gras, try to go out of town for it and take a vacation or avoid it. But those are awesome. And completely unique to our city. It would tell people, this is OUR team. OUR brand. You don't get it? Tough, frick off.
I hate our Mardi Gras unis with a passion. Ugly doesn't begin to describe them. That said, he uses the color scheme a LOT more tastefully than melted box of crayons they were trotting onto the court.

The "Jester" hates the Mardi Gras uniforms? That sounds like it is illegal.

Copycat Weaksauce is gold in marketing. Why do you think there are so many movie sequels? To use an already established brand identity. Building a brand from scratch takes a lot of effort. The Fleur de Lis is a short cut but it's a short cut that makes sense for the market.

The idea is great. The execution is terrible and many synonyms of terrible.

I just don't care for it too much. Taking a mardi gras theme name and just throwing a fleur de lis as the logo. Meh. Just doesn't sit right with me.

Exactly. And, beyond that, you can try to establish the games/Arena as a "party" atmosphere. Get a Pat O's in the Arena. Give out beads at every game. Put "cast iron" fences in the arena on the balcony. Have "Krewe of New Orleans Ball" nights versus the big teams like the Lakers, etc.
