re: who will be our next commit?

Agree about the Diarse with the ball part but I could also easily see him play S instead. It was telling to me that he participated at S at the NFTC Dallas combine. Why waste time getting reps at S if he's playing WR? If he's playing wr(I suspect he is and that's waht we were told) then he needs to be getting all the reps he can at WR considering he plays qb in hs. I know he's a natural wr but he still needs to get reps there to get better.

My guess for next commit is Massington(if he gets offered) and Lacouture. Lacouture has been in BR since yesterday with his parents and is a priority for the coaches. He leaves Sunday and I expect him to commit while on campus. Will be a big suprise to me if he doesn't.

With 4 wrs in the class we still have all the room we need for OL and DL. RB and LB are positions where we could take none and be fine. Also we could take just 1 qb and 1 less DB. We have room for 4 wrs and you don't turn down a talent like Massington. He's a better talent than all but 3-4 of the wrs that will be on the team this year.(Landry, Beckham, Avery Johnson; He's a better talent than Landry but not a more skilled player if people can understand what I mean). He's also a better talent than the wrs we currently have commited. Like I've said before I'm all for taking LA kids but is it really worth it at the expense of a better talent? Also don't think turning away Massington is good for our future at the position. Leslie or Rumph would leave with Landry, Beckham, Fobbs and Williams. That's 5 gone in 1 year. Need to have talented kids there to replace those guys.

I agree completely with you about Massington. His ceiling is isn't close to being touched and he will only get better with the proper coaching.

We have quite the group of posters in the LSU fanbase on the Massington bandwagon and GA can tell you that he has recognized it. Is there really a possibility that we're all missing something with him? No way we're all wrong is there? If he doesn't get offered it will likely get a worse reaction than the Ishmael Wilson aftermath. I for one will be voicing extreme displeasure as I did with Wilson. I'm just keeping the faith until something comes out definitive on offer or not.

That looks promising GA. If we didn't offer and he still feels good about the visit then I will be shocked and will also give the coaches an official snake oil salemen award. I know if I traveled 8 hours expecting an offer, with my parents, and didn't get an offer, I'd be pissed and it would be hard for me to get over it. Maybe I'm just petty but it would definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth.
