Idk I know nothing about any of that. I just know it won't be purple if there is turf put down

1) more opportunities for ESPN camera crews to show empty seats in Tiger Stadium
Yes - if ESPN shows LSU vs North Texas, Arkansas State, or Troy, which won't happen. Death Valley could seat 110,000 for Bama, Fla, Auburn, UGA, Ut, etc.2) huge screens
Actually almost any game after late 3rd quarter will show empty seats. It's not about the game, it's about the party. What we need is more plush accommodations and utilities hookups for tailgaters.

I read somewhere that if you have 100,000 seats you are required to add on a sprinkler system to the field or some random thing like that.. Maybe that's why they stopped?

That's not true. LSU didn't adopt that policy. It'd only be minor changes like sprinklers in suites and kitchen areas.

almost any game lsu plays will be on an espn network if its not picked up by cbs. ESPNU is still national tv. you're really stupid.

That looks nice, but from the drawings i saw months ago (losing bidder so dead design) you cant have a symmetric end zone. The SW corner is too close to the street for the structure, so it cant match the SE corner. Plus you have a lot of underground utilities there that cant be rerouted easily.
their whole reasoning for redoing the west upper deck was so it would match the east upper deck. at least that was the line they were using.

sounds like they lied. im guessing the real reason was so they could build the stadium club.

So...you'd rather """NOT""" have 10,000 extra seats for Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, big OOC games, etc.
Instead, you're more worried about what a "national" ESPNU audience would see for Towson or North Texas ????
K.

No dumbass. No where in my post does it say that. You said something stupid, so i called you stupid for doing that. Accept it and move on.

Yes I recall that.

Purple field turf was a joke and won't happen
So you're saying if and when they close off the south endzone they won't have to replace the grass with turf due to lack of sunlight?
I would think with the earth's daily rotations, the sun will still be directly overhead for at least part of the day.
Won't the sun still send rays of sunlight over the expanded SEZ? It hasn't seemed to have hurt the sideline turf 'behind' the east and west uppers. Les' taste buds can attest to that.

didn't say I didn't care about the latter as well.
Gotcha. My bad....

This is the problem. People are more concerned about getting drunk and tailgating than they are about the game.
LSU fans are starting to resemble Texas fans in that regard. They show up late and leave early.

Louisiana. LSU has design guidelines but they aren't in the business of adopting code revisions or shite like that. It just falls under state requirements which the architects are responsible for addressing on the clients behalf.

Client side or design side? I'm just asking because these types of construction projects are almost exclusively done by out of state architectural firms, which is just fricking awesome.

Only doing a half-assed expansion, leaving all that empty space, instead of going on and continuing the rows up to the top where the east and west uppers would meet flush with the south, would really be tacky and unacceptable.
There's no doubt in my mind though, that's what they're planning.
Please surprise me LSUAD and do it right this time. Don't throw something up there that's going to be an embarrassment to the university.
