I'm not sure if many people caught this article, but it's a great read.

LINK

I've been a huge backer of Barnes, so I thought it was interesting. His value is sliding big time, maybe out of the top 10. What if he is there for the 2nd Hornet pick? He still has alot of potential and might be a better Pro than college player (it happens..)..

Good read.

I haven't been too high on Barnes with a top 3 pick for a while. But if slides to the Minnesota pick, that is a hell of a pick up.

Half the guys projected in the lottery all season(Drummond, Barnes, Sullinger, Lamb, Jones III, Henson, maybe Marshall)are "sliding" right now so he might not even fall that far.

Does anyone know where I can find Andre Drummond's high school stats?

he wont drop out of the top 10 because of a few bad games. For ever reason this guy thought he'd be good, is the same reason a lot of GMs will still buy into the Barnes hype.

He needs to lose weight. He's great at using his size to create space, elevating, and getting decent shots, but he doesn't make them often enough. He also settles too much.

In the NBA, he won't be near quick enough to get those shots off. Plus, he's not a good defender and didn't have to do much rebounding at UNC with Henson and Zeller down low.

The Hornets shouldn't take him. I don't see him doing too much in the NBA.

If he falls out of the top 10, chances are, we will have already passed on him twice.
The Minny pick probably won't be any worse than 10th (or 11th).

Barnes did look like shite in the tournament. It sucks for me as a UNC fan... but it may be something great for me as a Hornets fan (which is more important)

I'd love to get him with the 2nd pick.

All of this.

He is the prototypical SF. Perfect size, skill set, amazing stroke, but has some big holes in his game. He could be the next Carmello if he learned to drive and develop his entire game. I think he has the highest ceiling in the draft (even higher than Davis). But he does have a bit of a downside..

I agree his value has dropped off tremendously, and the nba really doesnt have that combine interview stage of the magnitude of the nfl to help his stock

Where is Michael Kidd-Gilchrist expected to go? I am starting to really enjoy his game.

im still trying to see the difference between MKG and guys like Corey Brewer and Julian Wright

What exactly is his role in the NBA?

With his current skillet set, at his best he could be a player like Ronnie Brewer. Demar Derozan? Jeff Green? What type of player do people see with MKG?

For every player that cant shoot that happens to make it, there are 8 or 9 that can't.

I'm not sold on gilchrist either. He has made himself some money in this tournament though. He is putting up decent numbers but his game is driving to the goal with reckless abandon and scoring off an offensive board.

I was surprised when he jumped from 9-12 in the mocks to recently 2-6. I think he would be a decent 9-12 pick but higher than that is too much risk.

His shot is poor. But he has an aggressive style that will make him attractive to teams to take him higher than he should.

I don't know. I am not a scout. He might be nothing in the NBA but he is fun to watch in this tournament.

If anything, Henson's stock rose and Marshall's soared after their respective injuries and how the team played without them. Marshall was never a lottery consideration until late in the season.
