I hate going through racourcci

Is there any other way? Raccourci is sketchy

Trout are all over mechant this time of year. I have caught plenty of trout over 20" in the spring. Find bait along the shoreline and throw some top dog jr or she dogs. When conditions are right you will load the boat with 18" and up fish.

I've been meaning to guy buy one of those Top Dog's and give it a whirl. My uncle swears by them, and he's caught some monster trout in his day.

I haven't fished since thanksgiving and can't wait to go next week. I will try mechant and probably work my way out to caillou bay.

I saw a 24' Champion with twin 115's on a trailer going down the bayou...thought it may have been you. Guess not haha.

Why not just launch from Jugs and go South on the bayou? Once u hit the camps, mud lake is on your right and Mechant is just a bit further down.

red/white, chartreuse, and bone are my favorites. I love fishing but when they hit on topwater nothing compares. You will have fish slap it 3ft in the sir but the big ones just gulp it down with hardly any splash.

We don't trailer our boat and it has 150's. My dad was there the week before but just took it to decade and took a nap
