The barrell is small as Frick and the sweet spot is maybe 1/4 of what it used to be. The bat makes a shitty noise too. Not enough alluminum.

Mega difference.
There's much less or maybe even no trampoline effect.
The sweet spot is smaller
The bats must also balance much closer to what a wood bat balances like. Heavier at the end, slower to swing.

Difference?? We started blaming bats as an excuse for poor execution.

Don't get me wrong.
The Talent is much more a problem.
Just ask Mahtook, the new bats can hit, but there is a difference.

The new bats are awful. I'd rather them use wood than those piece of shite Demarinis they have now. It also does help the High schools (until this year) have been using normal bats. So what the problem is is that our players were way overrated as hitters in high school and can't adjust to the new bats (ball won't go anywhere off those things unless you actually hit it well)

The bats suck but it's not the reason we struck out 17 times Friday night against Mississippi State and can't hit offspeed pitch heavy guys.

Our offensive woes are a combination of the two, though. The new bats killed Hanover for example.

Do some research on stats before BBCOR and after BBCOR. The power numbers/home runs are way down. It is a pretty big difference over a short period of time. It has changed the game of college baseball. Whether you think it's for the better I guess is a matter of personal opinion.

I've heard the sweet spot is smaller and the walls are thicker.
