I want to pick up with the whole "everyone's infected" issue.
In some other threads, people have mused that this means humanity is completely screwed and that this is the last generation for humanity (speculation that Lori's hell-child will be a zombie). I don't know if this is based off a knowledge of the books, but I don't think that this automatically means that the species is headed for the ashheap of history.
Bear in mind there have been pandemics before, that have decimated the human race (bubonic plague, pneumonic plague, Spanish influenza) and, invariably, there are people that will have natural immunities to the disease. There's no reason to believe that will not be the case with this either.

was thinking about this earlier, and the thought of an immune baby crossed my mind, sort of an idol for humanity's hope, but then how would they know that the baby is free of the zombie causing virus? It's not as if they can go back to the CDC.
