Bringing back the Magic

It was definitely a step in the right direction

True. After six straight losing seasons I'll never forget that win over Auburn in 1995 nor the Independence Bowl bid that fall.

I hear ya. At church the next morning--after the Auburn game, I think the first thing the pastor said was something about the thrilling victory the previous night. I went and bought a cheap T-shirt that had an animated pic of an LSU lineman (#95, of course) holding his fists in the air. At the top it said, "The Magic is Back." It most certainly was until I had the privilege of watching Tim Couch throw for 500 and something yards against us in 1998.

490 of those were to Craig Yeast, or seemed like it, on bubble screens. F-ing Tepper and that ridiculous prevent defense scheme the entire. damn. game. So painful to watch that 98 team, as stacked as they were, lose 7 games, seemingly all of them by a TD or less and then bend over the West Champion that year (State), winning by 35
