Xbox mic

I need to get a mic for this Xbox I just got so people will actually want to play with me. I don't need it to be super nice like turtle beaches or anything, just so I can hear people and talk and stuff. I see the same mic listed over and over on eBay for like 9 bucks but I can't tell if those will be trash after using it for a couple of day. What do most of y'all use if not turtle beach?

I had a standard xbox mic for a long time. I think you can get used ones at gamestop for $10 or just buy a new one for $20 that comes with a message pad.
ETA. If you play any FPS (COD or BF3) get one of these.... believe me, its worth it!

Yea I've seen those before I think. I definitely play a lot of CoD so that might be good. If they aren't like 80 bucks I might get a pair

Nah man I just picked up that same turtle beach headset for $50. Its awesome. I can hear enemies reloading on the other sides of walls and also hear footsteps of enemies. It will make you a better player.

You can find decent sets of x31 or x11/12 on ebay for $50 and less (even in the $20 range). I would just go ahead and invest in those so you wont have to worry about it again

They also remove any localized accents you may have

It didn't work on mine.
I think I am going to put in the original xbox headset, if I can find it and see if it makes me sound like Lewis did or even worse than I do now. I wonder if there is a setting to add closed captioning to y'alls screens if it makes me worse.
