Stephen Lee is one classy father with advice he gives to his son

Jarrett Lee. "Fair is a place where you go for amusement rides" Life is not fair. He gave compliments to Jimbo Fisher and Crowton and indicated arms length relationship with Les Miles. Sorry we could not compare an interview with the other QB's dad. Stephen Lee has been in coaching long enough to realize that football is only a game; lifestyle, integrity and family is forever.

The guy seemed like a class act and all, but what does this mean to us now?

U are right, but no matter how classy u are no one could break up the love affair Les had for JJ!!!!

I've been telling my son this for years now.......noboody owes you anything and you have to work to get everything.
In the end....it's just football
I hope J. Lee has a wonderful life after football and gets everything he deserves. Class act

jl got his shot and screwed up royally in the first bama game. no one OWED him anything after that. if he had played average he would have still been the started. he screwed up and yes life is not fair.

So were you a JL or JJ fan?

I love how he screwed up 1 game and he was sat on the bench for the rest of the year...
Simply amazing this logic, because none of the great quarterbacks ever threw back to back picks have they?
With him not seeing the field after that all we can say is we'll never know what would have happened. What we do know is JJ came in the rest of that game, we won and after that had an offense that ran on life support for the most part until it finally ran out and died in the title game.
We know what we got with JJ coming in, with JL sitting on the bench and never getting that same treatment that he was hit with where one bad game puts you in the dog house.
The thing that pisses most fans off is the fact that JL made his mistake in Alabama round 1 in Nov. and was sat down. JJ looked horrible the rest of the year and never recieved the same treatment.

:pump the brakes a little:
JJ did not look "horrible" the rest of the year.....but he wasn't great either.
JL should have gotten another shot...I agree with this.
Can't wait til Spring Game so we can move on.

What did JJ do to warrant starting the rest of the season?

THIS.
Sadly, I could see the writing on the wall when Lee didn't start...or play until the 4th quarter vs. Western Kentucky.
You can ignore this fact all you want, but Miles' handling of the QB snaps vs WKU was the beginning of the end of our 2011 NC Hopes. Nothing against JJ...I'm sure he did his best--but Miles completely changed up a 2 QB system that was working VERY well from Kentucky-Alabama.
My beef in this situation is not JL vs. JJ...it's the UNNEEDED change of QB philosphy in game 10 of a 14 game season when you're undefeated.
What's the old saying? If it's not broke, don't fix it? Miles did exactly that.
OK I've said my piece...moving on.

I, for one, am excited about the fact that JL and JJ are gone. At least now you people will have something new to argue about.

Not a shite. It all means absolutely nothing. We've got a basketball team charging for postseason play and a top 10 baseball team, but WAFB makes their living feeding the trolls. It's all bullshite.

They'll be back to whining about somebody's hat or the way they clap if all else fails.

As opposed to the string of stellar performaces JJ put together? His SECCG performance will be the standard by which all future SEC QB's are judged.

a couple bad passes/ shaky play is not "screwing up a shot". especially if you're STILL leading the conference in efficiency after that. seems like he was doing pretty well with his shot overall.
any, we on to the Mett-siah

Yep, for complete and utter futility at playing the position.

Pussy arse LSU fans should listen to him
Posted on 2/24/12 at 11:09 am to HeadCoach
Part of the problem was both JJ and JL were asked to play too early due to bad QB recruiting by Miles. Both were not ready as FR.
