Seattle would support a pro basketball franchise a lot better than NO does... I wonder if ESPN told him to say that.

Seattle is finally getting a 500 million dollar arena. They want a hockey team and likely a basketball team. They have more money than New Orleans

Which is why they built that arena the NBA asked for to keep the Thunder in town...

Kornheiser is the man, just because he says some dumb stuff every now and then doesn't make him an idiot.

And he was right. Seattle always supported the Sonics, just didn't want to build an arena after all the money they spent on stadiums for the Seahawks and Mariners.

If benson buys the team and wants them here, is there anything seattle can do about that?

have you been to a Hornets game recently and checked out the true attendance, not the pumped up 'official attendace'? Areana is pretty much empty. It's a prettty sorry sight. Area really doesn't support pro basketball for whatever reason, not enough population, not enough people with money, not many diehard basketball fans.

I just don't get why it seems like every ESPN personality dismisses NO as a viable NBA city. This team has had success while it has been here, not like it's been the doormat of the league every year.

ETA: but yea, not many cities are going to support a six win team.
