GSP's too apparently, but it definitely helps
I ran my GSP for hours on hours a week and let him work birds for 4-5 hours a week and he still destroyed everything in my house. He was "unique" Gave him to a guy in St. Francisville with a ton of land. I'm pretty sure he jumped out the Bronco when the guy got him home and never stopped running.

sounds about right. when mine was six months old he ran the long loop of the lake with me ~4.2 miles. he knocked it out with out a problem. they can run 10-15 miles with out any trouble at all

My bird dog pup used to get to the camp and run for about 15 minutes non-stop. Those are some athletic animals. Mine could climb like a squirrel

He sure was a pretty dog...just retarded. I blasted him with the shock collar...in the rain...at 10...when he was chasing an old lady's cat in front of her. fricker ran on three legs twitching like Micheal J. Fox but did not stop chasing that cat.

My old lady and kids gave my dogs 2 stuffed animals for Christmas. I told her it was a terrible idea and that they would tear them to pieces. "oh no" she says "these are chew proof toys. the package says they're indestructable". They next morning my oafish swamp collie had slain them both. White stuffing shite from one end of the yard to other. I got to clean it up.

That kinda shite happens regularly at my house. Always followed by "why does he do that?"

I know it sounds rough. But I worked and trained that dog. He would scream for 12 hours straight in a kennel. If I had a slow kid I'd deal with it...but he was a shitty dog. There is no reason to put up with that shite.

I have an 18 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback. He gets 20-25 miles a week of road work in and has energy to burn. At about the 4 mile mark on a run he settles in. My wife has lost 38 lbs since July working that dog (after two kids and 8 years of marriage she had gained a few). He's still on his first bed. It could be that we just got lucky but I think the energy burn is mostly to thank. He also has a fenced in back yard. There has been some minor digging but nothing extreme. Had I not waited until my life had the time to be fair to the dog and had I not done my research to know what I was getting myself and my family into it would have been a miserable 18 months with a 100lb wad of muscle and energy.
