Heard this topic on a New Orleans station today. Just wondering what popular opinion says?

No. Maybe the practice facility.

Absolutely not. Give him a damn statue if its that important to someone but no way in hell.

I like it. DB was by far the most successful LSU bb coach, the master motivator, and longest tenured coach ever. Why not? And do it while he's still living. And get his players back for the dedication.

They should name it after Pistol Pete...

Absolutely. The time is right. He was an icon and a positive, passionate coach and leader.

I love Dale Brown but he never won a title.
Naming courts after people should be reserved for the following:
1) Championship coaches or players (maybe you could lump Shaq into this but he has the statue)
2) Beloved figures who die unexpectedly (i.e. Pete Maravich, Don Redden)
3) Figures who may have a connection to the program but distinguish themselves in other areas (i.e. Alex Box Stadium, Kinnick Stadium in Iowa - in other words, preferably military people.)
All that said, if we want to name the practice court or maybe even a street (maybe North or West Stadium Road) after Dale Brown, I think that would be entirely suitable and appropriate.

Daddy Dale was pretty awesome, and his hard work with recruiting and his charisma put lots of people in the PMAC. His last few years were sad because he overstated his self-worth and he thought that he had LSU b-ball on cruise control, which he didn't.
He deserves something to be named after him, but definitely not the PMAC

Skip deserves the field at the Box to be named after him before something like this were to go down

Perhaps "Press Maravich Court" could work, we wouldn't have gotten Pete if we didn't hire Press.

Cheesy.. Ok State has something similiar. Eddie Sutton court at Mo Iba arena (sp?) always thought that was dumb
