First Cypriot team to make it to the round of 16. Cyprus has a population of 840,000. The team uses mostly Portuguese and Brazilians, with two Greeks and a Macedonian as the other starters. Not very Cypriot if you ask me.

The family of the first girl I dated was from Cyprus, and I've even visited the country. The gf ended up being cray cray (what can I say man, bitches be crazy), but I still root for the Cypriot teams in the CL as my sentimental pick.

There aren't very many English teams that have a majority of English players anymore (besides Liverpool of course )

Just the modern trend in soccer.

excited for this one. decent set of matches last time we met in the CL. Arsenal also became the English first team to ever beat both Milan and Inter at the San Siro. I'm hoping we escape with a draw and somehow contain Ibra, who, per tradition, always tears us a new one.

Boateng, Alexandre Pato, Alessandro Nesta and keeper Christian Abbiati all are "healthy" and resumed training on Monday. Either that is one fan-freaking-tastic coincidence, or this is a ruse i'm not falling for. Ibra always chokes in big games, i'd leave him on the bench.
