What if 2012 falls short of expectations?

This is a question for those a lot more knowledgeable on Tiger depth than I am. Expectations for 2012 are sky high, with early pre-season rankings in the top 3. A lot of this is based on a major upgrade at QB, but ZM is an unknown quantity at this point. So what if things don't go exactly right next season and LSU loses say 2 games for a low top 10 finish, out out of the running for a SEC/BCS Championship? Would we have enough coming back in 2013, or is this really a make or break year for Miles and the current high level of the program?

What if 2012 falls short of expectations AND Zach Mettenberger leaves for the NFL Draft after one year?

I assume that the bandwagon fans will be jumping ship and the Anti-Miles Lynch Mob will be in full force. The expectations amongst the majority of this fan base is just insane.

Then we have the next year to look forward to. This is college football not the NFL.

Expectations in Baton Rouge are always that we will win all of the regular season games and the SEC championship and the National Championship while playing the second string quarterback. Then we fire our head coach.

These will never be met.

My expectation is 8-4. If it falls short of that then it'll be 7-5.

we almost went undefeated without a QB last year. There's a less than 2 percent chance that QB situation will be like it was or worse.

That's far from the issue. The issue is as it's been for the past several years, how does the coaching handle talented players. So far, we've seen tremendous talent mishandled time and time again by the coaching staff. ZM may be a Heisman level quarterback but it's not so much about his talent as it is about how he's utilized and coached.

I can say with 99.999% certainty that at this point ZM is exactly 1 QB.

Boudreaux – a real pro !

The Louisiana State Police had received numerous reports of illegal
cockfights being held in the area around Abbeville and had sent their famous
Detective Boudreaux from Thibodeaux to investigate. Boudreaux promptly began
his investigation and then reported to his Commander the next morning.

"Dey is tree main groups involve in dis rooster Fightin", he began.

"Good work! Who are they?" the Commander asked.

Boudreaux replied confidently, "De Texas Aggies, de local Cajuns, and de
Mafia from N'awlins".

Puzzled, the Commander asked, "Now Boudreaux, how did you find all that out
in one night?"

"Well," he replied, "I went down and done seen dat rooster fight in person.
And I knowed immedjiately dat dem Aggies was involved when a Duck was
entered in the fight."

The Commander nodded, "I'll buy that. But what about the others?"

Boudreaux nodded knowingly, "Well, I knowed de Cajuns was involved when
sum_body bet on de duck!"

"Ah, I see, I see....." sighed the Commander "And how did you figure the Mafia was involved?"

"De duck won."

As long as we get to the NC, I'll continue to support Les Miles.
