Sealy four-star athlete Ricky Seals-Jones was slated to visit Texas A&M over the weekend, but the 6-foot-5, 215-pound versatile playmaker didn't make it to College Station.

According to a source close to Seals-Jones' recruitment, the Aggies might have an insurmountable hill to climb. The source said that Seals-Jones' brother walked on as a wide receiver for Kevin Sumlin at Houston, and the family is not too high on the Aggies' new coach given the way he was treated.

Seals-Jones will visit LSU this weekend before hitting the Texas junior day on Feb. 12. Oscar Giles was by Sealy early last week for Texas, as was LSU head coach Les Miles and Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris.

Keep an eye on LSU and possibly Baylor as Texas' top competition for Seals-Jones' commitment. (Howe)

I see you frequent Longhorn sites as well. Got to keep with the competition to know what's going on. Eric Nahlin(Tipsey Gypsie) is very good at what he does. Great evaluator and talks to Texas hs kids and coaches everyday. Recruitocosm and now Inside Texas are good just based on him alone. I like Jesus Shuttlesworth but think he overdoes it. No question that Longhorn sites have the best info and breakdowns of Texas hs players. Other than Ketchum.

Do you not accept differing opinions? Or do you just want to hear what you want? I provide insight into what A&M coaches or recruiting services are thinking. I never said anything I posted was what RSJ was thinking as I have not seen him interviewed yet.

You can feel free to not read my posts. Many on this board are interested in what I have to say

There aren't many better than Gerry Hamilton in regards to Texas prospects. That guy is good and very tuned in.

As posted earlier,I was implying that Ketchum was horrible. The old saying states" a broke clock is wrong at least twice a day". That sums up Ketchum lately. He didn't have the scoop on Davis, he's just the only one that went public with it before it was time. Others knew it was coming and followed the original plan. Ketchum did the usual to cater to his followers and those on the fence and went public before everyone else to portray the situation like he had the scoop. I saw another Texas site even call him out on it.

I don't think anybody had the scoop on TD until after he signed.

Numerous people had the scoop on Davis the night before and all morning before he signed. It was discussed adnauseum all morning. Ketchum was just the 1st to go public with the info. Davis' mother called Eric Nahlin before he signed and said to pay attention. Foor no one to know there was certainly a lot of discussion beforehand.

I believe Gerry Hamilton later on said he had begun pulling posts on his board (247? not sure) the afternoon before signing day that hinted at Davis's switch. I don't think Ketch scooped this at all.
