Guess I can't understand the humor in making fun of an old man trying to report about LSU recruits to most who have no connections in the sporting world.

I guess taking candy from little babies and killing cats is funny to some here too.

I just don't get it.

The old days of the early 80's was tough on us trying to follow recruiting. I remember staying up late (for recruiting updates and on signing day) to listen to WWL and a radio station out of Knoxville. I believe it was 1520. They would both fade in and out. Then we went hightech and could call in to TigerRag and get charged to listen to a list of signees. Saturday Mornings had recruiting shows on FoxSportSW, so we could pick up a little info there. The day after signing day we had to run to the one place that sold the Advocate in Lake Chuck to get the first real lowdown. Shuffle your feet and all of the Advocates were gone by 7:30. Then came Don, Dandy Don that is. Love him or hate him.....he was a godsend for recruiting buffs.

Terrible analogy! You never take info from unknown sources and report it as fact. I mean really? LSU got a commit from a basketball center from China named Byte Maiwang. We still love ole Dandy though.
