Let's not limit ourselves to comforting euphemisms. We're talking about anally raping children and the subsequent cover-up. It's not a "scandal" or a "situation". It's anal rape of children. Remember that.

To answer your question, there is no LSU equivalent. The only comparison in the country right now is Frank Beamer to VA Tech, and he has a long way to go before he approaches the Paternosphere of cultural power and influence over his organization.

"great man", I do not think so, ask yourself one question, if that had been your son or daughter being sexually abused would you condone Paterno's actions of not following up and raising hell to make sure something was done to stop it? I think we all know the answer to this question, "great man", BS.

nobody, becuase even if you go 8-5 or 13-1 we have too many crazy a-hole fans that would want him gone which makes for a hostile environment to both coach and recruit in, so nobody would or could be LSU's Joe Pa.

I'm not sure your going to find someone else to give so much to a University. Joe built a libary, gave a million to help build the hospital, the YMCA, and countless other projects. He gave back so much to the community and to Penn State. Not sure your going to see that happen anywhere else.

Except for that tiny little deal with letting a serial child molestor continue to bring little boys to Penn State's campus and rape them for decades. One of the most selfish pricks on the planet. It was all about Joe, the greedy self glorifying bastard.
