"I haven't talked to (LSU) Coach (Les) Miles," he said. "I haven't spoken with him. I'd be interested to see what he had to say but I haven't had any contact with him recently. I've kind of tried to stay away and keep my mind off of it. I've been at home in West Monroe and not in Baton Rouge. It has been tough to get a hold of him. I'm finished. He doesn't need me anymore."

i bet if he was in BR, he would have talked to him. Also, this is the most important part of the offseason.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the end of the recruiting season.

And? He's not on the team. Why would Miles need him?

Im surprised by this but it sounds like John Ed Bradley in It never rains in Tiger Stadium...as much as it sucks when its done its done...Les has a 4 million dollars riding on flying all over the country meeting with 18 year olds and meeting with the returning players for next year. Kinda tough to track down every departing player. I kinda doubt that hes just not answering senior's phone calls though. If true Id be disappointed.

So he's simultaneously staying away and trying to contact Miles. Quotes suck.

Well, which is it? Is Miles supposed to keep tabs on a guy who's already graduated and moved back to the other end of the state and n his words, "tried to stay away?"

I'm not bashing Blackwell, but I'd like to see some context and what else might have been in the interview that the writer left out.

what is the big deal? Les is supposed to call every player who has graduated or otherwise move on and have a post mortem about the game? he's not even in BR. jeeze

All of these players coming forward just makes me believe even more that something went down before the BCSNCG ... I pray it comes out one day and the fans know the truth... it's obvious les will never have the balls for come forward and talk.

Many so-called "fans" on this board have insisted that its only negative fans and not players who were affected by the game.

Those are not really fans but pollyannas.

Will Blackwell is a Tiger who's given everything he had to this program.

Les Miles and the entire football team had a glorious, amazing season for the ages and undoubtedly the best team in LSU history. Miles was also deserving of his many COTY awards.

But please, bitches, do not be in denial of the mysteriously bizarre performance (including the coaching decisions) that we witnessed on January 9th.

I guess Les should fly to West Monroe to make sure Blackwell's little feelings aren't hurt

Dude you took one part of the interview and convieniently left out the statements that balance it out. Way to keep things stirred up and push an agenda.

I guess Les was supposed to give him an exit interview? has Will done anything, other than to insinuate, to reach out to Les who (by the way Will) is mandated to secure LSU's future....not it's past. there will be plenty of time after NSD for Will to contact Les and I'm sure Les will be more than happy to "let him know what he has to say." good luck to Will Blackwell and every Tiger who gave us so much to be proud of.
