Bought a six pack of this last night after seeing it advertised. It's pretty good, a little citrusy like it claims. It was kinda flat though. Like they had let it sit for a day before bottling it. No crispness. Anyone else tried this yet?

BC you suck. Noble Pils should be coming out relatively soon. Top 3 beer on the market.
I've had over 30 different sam adams brews. There are a few I dont care for.

not a fan of pilsners.

It's not like it's a miller lite. Noble pils is full of flavor

This is a decent beer. Hopped using a good bit of the "noble" hops. It has a very crisp citrus flavor to it.
Sam Adams is a very good micro/macro brewery. However, they cater their selection to the vast majority and not the specific few. I wouldn't categorize any of their beers as adventurous or boundary pushing.

I've never been impressed with any Sam Adams stuff either. It's all decent stuff but there are many other beers I would choose over anything from SA.

The Cherry Wheat is undrinkable.
We toured the brewery in Boston, and while it's not really brewed there anymore, it was still pretty neat.

Not a fan of the Alpine Spring. I do however like the Mighty Oak

they put out very drinkable beer but nothing that is going to amaze you. i find that bars with a selection that doesn't go much beyond the american mass produced beers will often have Sam Adams as an option. it is a good go-to beer in those circumstances. but it isn't going to hold up well when pitted against a solid variety of microbrews.
with that said, i do think their seasonals are generally better than the standard lineup. the summer, fall and spring seasonals have all been solid. i haven't tried the new spring yet but Noble Pils, which has been their spring seasonal the last few years, is a solid beer.

True.

Noble Pils is my favorite SA seasonal. But, I was very impressed with their Winter Lager and now rank that ahead of Octoberfest, which I didn't think was very good this year.
