Catherine - Anyone played it?

I first heard of Catherine here, and got really interested:

I got it for Christmas, but haven't fired it up yet, as I'm hoping to play it with my girlfriend, and we just haven't had an opportunity yet.
Am I the only one intrigued?

Played it. That is one weird fricked up game.
Do yourself a favor and play it on easy mode, because everything else is BRUTAL.
I didn't finish it. Got tired of repeating a level 23948905 times before finishing it, and the story stuff in between the level bored me.

Good to know. Can you change the difficulty mid-game? I'd rather try it on a normal/medium and then drop down if I need to.

Even easy mode is brutal.

There is actually a way to go into 'very easy' mode, and you may need it. The game really is brutally hard

I played the demo and it seemed pretty stupid. Some people like it though.
