missing classes and not going for weeks are 2 different things.

What he is - and damn well had better be - doing, is GO TO WORK in recruiting to fill in the blanks for another potential run next year.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Signing day is but a few weeks away. Les needs to focus on recruiting. There be ample time enough for Miles to make an in depth statement, if he chooses to, about the BCSNG. Right now though, it's all about recruiting, recruiting, recruiting...go get em Les.

he needed to remain eligible...just like any other player.

Your need to move the goalposts to defend Miles shitty handling of the situation is laughable.

Do you have proof he didnt go for 2 weeks? Any at all, because you don't.

It is merely another one of the many memes you and the rest of the JJ/Miles apologists use to defend the bullshite that occurred this season and cost us a NC.

I agree. What do we want him to say? "We got our asses handed to us." I think we all know that and I also think that we may never know why we didn't try anything and everything offensively in the 2nd half of that game.

The thing I don't agree with is his complete silence. Miles is supposed to be the ultimate motivator. He is confident and unwavering. Come out, say "you are pissed", say "it will never happen again", say "watch out college football cause this is not over", say "It's On", say "failure makes us stronger and hungrier".

His complete silence lets all of this stuff fester with the players, recruits, fans, commentators, media, etc.

you really want lm to hold a press conf. and say something that makes the rant DEMAND another press conf. the rant is crazy and lm will pay no attention to them. a month from now this will be all over.

there is not goalposts. Lee did what he did and Miles felt the need to bench him for it.

I don't follow him around....but i know its true. you'll never believe it though....even if Miles comes out and says it...because it doesn't fit your agenda. you'll just blame Miles for lieing and throwing Lee under the bus.

Just because you hate JJ and MIles doesn't make everyone else an apologist. JJ and Lee are both gone now. you can relax

For me, a simple explanation such as

"We were not prepared, I accept responsibility for that. In retrospect, while some may think we quit by not putting Lee in, I made the decision to leave JJ in and punt in 4th quarter because ___fill in blank____. We had a great year and the BCSCG is not representative of Tiger football. We will strive to correct our errors so that this never happens again. We have put it behind us and are moving on to the 2012 year."

would probably do it for me. Although I dont think anything put in the empty space would justify those decisions too me, it would certainly help me put it behind me.

Someone explain why the receivers all wanted out. Did that affect the QB decommitment? Something terribly wrong went on with our team that night. Would you want your son treated like Les treated T-Bob and J. Lee? I know Les is almighty and doesn't have to answer for what happened. Some of you ignorant people saying that because we don't like the actions of our coach that we are not fans. Some of us were fans before you were born. There have been several coaches that I haven't liked. But lying Les is constantly moving up my list. I hate a liar.

Archer and Hallman were pretty honest. maybe you'd like to have them back.

So LSU can only have Les, Mike Archer, or Curly Hallman? I don't think Les should be fired but I hate when people say this. LSU is not the same place bro.

Im sorry, I'm not buying that miles would throw away a potential MILLION dollar raise, because he was pissed at Lee for skipping class.
It was clear to me at the Kentucky game that JJ would be worked back in the starting lineup the FIRST time Lee had an off night, and I was right.

Les wanted JJ to be his QB, pure and simple. This was plain to see last year as well.

Anyone who has ever been recruited to play football knows very well that lying is a part of the game. When a kid gets recruited, the coaches will tell him anything - they are nice and put up with his cockiness and help inflate his ego. They will say anything to this kid to get him to sign. The kid thinks the coaches are really "cool" and really "like" him a lot.

Once he signs, the shitake hits the fan and this kid is dazed and confused.

Now he is officially not on the buddy buddy list with the coaches and may find this out the hard way. The coaches lathered him up and he is spinning now that they are yelling at him and not treating him like a special player. They do not smile at him and call him all the time List goes on, but yeah, coaches lie their asses off.

From the Ole Miss game in 2008 when Jarrett Lee lost his starting position, Les Miles never showed any confidence in the young man no matter how many times Lee bailed out Jefferson's sorry play. Any realistic observer knew that after the Alabama game, Jordan Jefferson would be reinstalled on Les Miles thrown to be worshipped.

Choctaw, I see you have changed your tune from saying that Lee skipped 3 straight weeks of classes, and narrowed it down to 2 straight weeks. It still doesn't change the fact that Jarrett Lee was benched of any meaningful playing time after only one possible week of skipping class. I'm of the belief that even if your skipping class story is true, then Les Miles prolonged that issue by showing the world that Jarrett Lee is no longer part of Les Miles plans during the WKU game.

I'd have been depressed as well if I was in Jarrett Lee's shoes.

One local reporter jumped on that chance, piggybacking on Bobby Hebert’s drunken tirade wrapped around a decent postgame question last Monday. The writer dragged up some old laundry and festering wounds from his own perceived slights from Miles and wrapped it all up with journalistic venom and unloaded.

Who is he talking about here? GG? I missed the article
